Campaign Annouces "Christmas Vacation with Ron Paul"

Looks like I will be joining several of you in Iowa! Can't wait!

MSNBC Isn't Hatin' On Rand Paul

There are so many things wrong with those 12 minutes of TV that it's hard to know where to start.... often I'm really glad I've cut the cord on cable. This is one of those times!

Lawson tied 50/50 with 60k reporting

What vote totals are you guys seeing? Is Politico ahead of the NC State Board of Elections site? I'm seeing BJ up by 500 votes.

Morgan Freeman endorsed Obama in 2007

BJ actually has a lot of Democratic supporters. One of his county chairs in 2008 was also the lead person in that county for Hillary Clinton. He's not your typical politician, and he can get a lot of Dems rethinking their vote. Of course, Morgan Freeman wouldn't know that.

If you have any time for liberty in the next 5 hours....

Please help make GOTV calls from home for BJ Lawson! I've made hundreds of calls in the past few days, and it's really easy. You mostly get answering machine/voicemail messages. There is a handy script provided. Email [email protected], where Debbie will get back to you quickly with a...

Cafe shows Portland officer the door, won't sell him coffee again [Rand Related]

Felt like I had to step in when the conversation revolved to being vegan = loving Obama. I'm sure there is a correlation some of the time. However, many of the vegans I know are some of the people most against the government that you'll find other than at a Libertarian convention. Just look at...

Any use for leftover Ron Paul 2008 fliers?

I gave the quarter-page fliers out like crazy during the 2008 campaign, but I ended up with a few hundred left over in a box, that I just found during spring cleaning. Because I'm probably going to be moving in the next few months, and because they specifically mention "Ron Paul 2008" and...

    B.J. Lawson, the hybrid candidate

You have to know about the Independent Weekly to realize how monumental this is. I'm sure they'll endorse Price when their endorsements come out today, but they are a pretty far-to-the-left publication that hates anything with an R next to it, without looking at the principles. I'm honestly...

Split: Questions/concerns about the Kent Snyder chip-in

Why was what I said dumb exactly? I was comparing a single 49-year-old campaign manager of a national presidential campaign who lived in an apartment to a single 25-year-old lowly political staffer who lives in an apartment in roughly the same area. A 49-year-old single man should...

Split: Questions/concerns about the Kent Snyder chip-in

No. You can't libel a dead man. One of the first thing about torts you learn in law classes. From what I have heard from staffers during the campaign, the campaign HQ was set in Arlington ONLY because Kent Snyder lived there. It was said by the staffers that the best location would be in Texas...

    What we're up against...good God

It's not that America has gone "this far to the left." If there was someone as charismatic and well-spoken as Obama saying things Reagan would have said or Ron Paul would have said, these same people would be saying that government can't help them and they need to help themselves. They're...

Ron Paul Republican Destroys Neo-Con Rival

I wholeheartedly disagree, as a District 4 resident myself. Augustus Cho was the establishment candidate, the former county chair and well-known to almost all the area's GOP faithful, a columnist in the Chapel Hill News and given lots of local press coverage, sometimes even more than BJ. He...

NC-4 Delegate Heather Johnson Desperate - "Please help me fight the Paul fanatics"

Heather Johnson of Chatham County had 19 votes at the district convention for delegate, while our Ron Paul candidates had more than twice that on the first ballot. She then dropped out and said she had to leave. Maybe she was going to buy a plasma TV with the donated money, if she managed to...

    BJ Lawson in the lead

Almost correct, but not actually. A Republican DID take away David Price's throne for two years starting in 1994. He was a former New York City police officer. Price defeated him in 1996.

The Republican Party and BJ Lawson

Ron Paul was a bit different that year, because he was going against the GOP incumbent (who had just switched from the Democrats a year before). BJ will be going against an entrenched Democrat who would be a real prize for the GOP in a year where many expect them to lose. While McCain has had...
