Yeah Texas is weird. On one hand we can produce some of the greatest elected officials you can find, but yet Texas has also produced Bush, Perry, Johnson, Sheila Jackson Lee... etc.

I like how Perry tries to pass off that he grew up in a blue collar household and somehow rose up from that. Anyone from Texas knows about Bob Perry and Perry homes...

Gary Johnson should know why he isn't getting media attention, and quite frankly most of us here should know too. ;) Even RP seems to be silenced too, although not to the degree of Gary Johnson. What little I watch of mainstream media very little, if anything is ever said about Paul. Everything...

Same thing. The Texas state congress only meets once every 2 years to discuss a handful of bills. No real name recognition there for someone wanting to move up. Some better positions for her would be Speaker of the house (voted on in Texas), Comptroller, or lieutenant governor. All 3 positions...

Being a Texas state rep. isn't the ideal launching pad for a political career.
