Looking for a book or booklet about silver.

This was about 1965, remember? When they got rid of all the silver coins first by debasing them from 90% silver to 40% silver then they finally replacing them with what you Americans use today - 91.67% copper and 8.33% nickel.

Looking for a book or booklet about silver.

Some time ago, I read about a booklet allegedly written by a vending machine maker. He says that in the 60's the Secret Service came to him and wanted to know what kind of counterfeit coins could fool his machines (which at the time accepted silver coins). So he gave the formula for a copper...

    Filipinos declare for Ron Paul!

STILL for liberty. Necro-bump. Well, the campaign is over and the original "Philippines for Ron Paul" website didn't get much response. Sad, but understandable really. Anyway, with the Ron Paul campaign transitioning into the Campaign for Liberty, so too are we. Our new site is "The New...

    Filipinos declare for Ron Paul!

Nah. We got no problems. We just don't know how to use the website tools very well. A few links aren't fully active yet. We'll probably spring for a better site, maybe even use vbulletin, but only when we get a little bigger. For now, this is just to show people that we're here. As for your...

What a 2nd, 3rd or 4th place finish means for Ron Pauls campaign.

That's kinda scary. Here in the Philippines, it doesn't matter who votes, what matters is who counts the votes.

What do you think of this ad?

Yeah, but we're talking about the ad here. And frankly the wording sucks. I know you can only squeeze so much into 30 seconds, but seriously, somebody should wedgie the guys on the official campaign. First there was Ad 1. Now this. Bleah. Can we convince 'em to pick and use our YouTube stuff?

What do you think of this ad?

I'm a Filipino, so here's my take on this... 1. The "terrorist nations" thing is nuts. "terrorist individuals" or "known agitators" would have been a better sell. Why taint the innocent along with the guilty. 2. I approve of having no welfare for illegal aliens. We shouldn't award law breakers...

    Filipinos declare for Ron Paul!

Too expensive. At this point we have less than 20 people "mildly interested," including a couple of expats around two meet-ups. The Cebu group seems to be a bit more organized. I'm with the Manila group and we managed to scrap around six guys (only one elligible voter).

    Filipinos declare for Ron Paul!

Don't forget, back home Filipinos generally vote en bloc and are known to overthrow presidents on principle. Let them know about the USCCB voting guidelines and get the word out.

    Filipinos declare for Ron Paul!

The Philippines is traditionally supportive of the Democratic Party due to all the foreign aid it doles out on us, but this time, some of us are asking... what's the price for this largesse? Let's deal as equals. Free trade. Friendship. No more gifts with strings attatched. No more foreign aid...
