    Americathon

I thought y'all might get a kick out of the trailer for this 1979 satire that predicted America going broke.

Not satisfied with limiting Soda, Bloomberg goes after Popcorn, Milk-based Drinks

I take your point. I guess I'm taking for granted that everyone values their freedom, authorities included, yet the public at large seems more and more comfortable with quietly rolling over when freedoms are taken away. And I'm wondering at what point will the authorities, who themselves value...

Not satisfied with limiting Soda, Bloomberg goes after Popcorn, Milk-based Drinks

Obviously libertarians think this is a terrible idea, but I even think that most people in America think this much overreach is bonkers. And when I say most, I mean cops too. And, at some point one of these business owners will get fed up and refuse to comply with these mandates, at which point...

Grooming the public for rationing, or just paranoia?

OK, points well taken as far as "rationing," and frankly Snyderman's assertions would pass me with less notice if she wasn't such a vocal advocate of centralized healthcare. I'm an advocate of private healthcare and personal responsibility. I realize healthcare is a limited commodity and there...

Grooming the public for rationing, or just paranoia?

OK, I swear I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but I can't help but pick up a trend of "you don't really need this medical procedure" from vocal Obamacare advocate and NBC "chief medical editor" Nancy Snyderman. Here's my train of thought. Snyderman, the TODAY SHOW and MSNBC regular, advocates...

    Chemical Castration?

I would (at least) support it as an option for the convict who wishes to negotiate a reduced sentence. Perhaps even mandatory punishment, depending on the severity of the crimes (i.e. a long history of pattern behavior and hard evidence to back the charge).

    Summer Reading for the Libertarian

Forgive this shameless plug for my book, but it's my way of spreading the same message that this forum advocates. Plus, I figure that the scarcity of material explicitly dedicated to the 'small government' perspective -- especially in the arena of fiction -- would permit me to humbly offer a...

Glenn Beck attempts to hijack the liberty movement...

meh. I guess I have a "the more the merrier" attitude. I don't really follow Beck, so there's no worry of him "leading" me or any other independently minded people, which seems to be the underlying character trait of libertarians. Plus, he apparently does have a following, so if he can persuade...

As The Elite Fences Itself In, Kissinger Announces Order Out Of Chaos

Re The scariest thing about a threat like that is the fact that half of Americans won't even make a peep, and will actually welcome the vast new authority with open arms.

Breitbart: "Ron Paul, Sheila Jackson Lee Agree: Civilian Courts for Terrorists"

This is just an excuse to tie Paul together with Moonbat Jackson Lee. not surprising.

I need advice about a book title

The Constitution Reborn and so forth, sounds kind of dry and boring. Besides, you definitely want to name your own book. You'll never be happy with someone else's idea, if I may speak from experience.
