I know what managers do. I was a manager in 3 jobs for 10 years. I also traveled sales 8 years, staying at countless hotels & motels.
1st off, your "hotel" is actually a motel. 2nd, your prior motel manager job description isn't even accurate. A motel isn't managed from home, as you claim. Managers of motel chains also don't make "large business deals," unless you count taking a phone reservation for a tour group.
You also don't tell your employees to do "exactly" what you say or you "will fire them." This means that you're not fit for management, or you're embellishing your importance.
I'm guessing this is could be some type of franchise, where the owner is there days & sometimes absentee. Maybe similar. You cover nights, doing paperwork and supervising the front desk. He handed you the company keys, you got the photo-op, & so you embellished your resume. You being continually logged in on the job & posting tells me that you do less management & more boredom relief.
