Bernie Sanders is not nearly as progressive as you think he is

15 years is a lifetime in politics, and everyone, including Ron Paul, voted for the AUMF in Afghanistan. Sanders was part of just 15% of Congress that voted against the Patriot Act in 2001. Talking about votes from 30 years ago is a waste of time, he's running against Hillary Clinton ffs.

COVERUP: Google Deletes Report After These Jeb Bush Tweets Come Out

Or most likely the Jeb campaign asked and Google said sure we don't care and deleted it.

    Rand suspends campaign

Sanders is my next choice. I know it seems odd because of policy positions, but the Office of the President can do a lot of good and Sanders election isn't going to cause Congress to get together and pass his agenda. The other options (Clinton, Rubio, Trump, Cruz) are less trustworthy on foreign...

    Rand suspends campaign

He had 2 million coming into the year, there's not necessarily anything left. I assume he can transfer to his Senate account.

    Rand suspends campaign

It's the smart thing to do. Curious if he throws an endorsement anyones way before the nomination is decided.

Rand will end up with 5%, but the Iowa Caucus winner has a poor record picking the nominee

Rand is a politician, he endorsed Mitt Romney, he'll endorse the nominee this time around. Choosing one now might influence who will be the next POTUS. Pressing on with his campaign will just hurt his credibility for any future run.

Rand will end up with 5%, but the Iowa Caucus winner has a poor record picking the nominee

Cruz is a snake, but he's a snake with a chance to be the Republican nominee alongside Rubio and Trump. Rand continuing to New Hampshire is just an exercise in futility to see how many fewer votes he can get than his father four years ago, it will only hurt his brand. It's ridiculous to call me...

Rand will end up with 5%, but the Iowa Caucus winner has a poor record picking the nominee

If Rand wants to influence who the next nominee is, now is the time to drop out and endorse someone. He's not winning this cycle and he doesn't have any money to waste time losing in South Carolina or Nevada. He could help someone get 2nd in New Hampshire. Cruz - Lots of policy overlap, I'd...

To Stay Viable You Have To Place In the Top 4 In Iowa

Rand Paul needs better than that. Going into the 2008 Iowa Caucus McCain had a 6 point lead in New Hampshire.

Trump won't participate in Thursday's debate

He's already won, he's made the last two days all talk about him. He won't skip the debate.

Rand at 5% in new American Research Group Poll in New Hampshire

Wow Kasich at 20%. Even if he wins New Hampshire somehow he'd get clobbered by any other candidate in the South I think. Huntsman Republicans exist in New Hampshire and almost nowhere else, so he could be getting like 5% from Romney voters and 15% from Huntsman voters.

    New Georgia, Florida polls 1/17-1/18, Rand @ 3%, 4%

The only real story here is Rubio slipping vs Bush. He was up 17% to 9% back in early December in Florida and 11% to 5% in Georgia. Neither candidate can win without consolidating the other's support. Christie/Fiorina/Kasich will clear out after New Hampshire, but if both Bush/Rubio go to South...

So...what's the criteria for the Jan 28 debate?

I'd root for a ten man stage, excluding Rand because he "took his ball and went home" by not showing for the last undercard. It would be terrifically petty and give Fox a chance to showcase the real contenders like Santorum who doesn't want American troops in Syria... because that's what the...

Uh, oh! Ratings last night will likely be the lowest so far.. From politico..BLOWBACK

The Iowa caucus is in two weeks so these ratings are pretty embarrassing. Just 2.2 million turned in for the undercard, so Rand's boycott unquestionably got him more attention than just taking the piddling of free media like Santorum and Huckabee. I think today the top tier in Iowa is pretty...
