Okay. Find someone with the right backing and name recognition to make a run for his seat or convince the voters of Kentucky to vote him out, first. Because otherwise, stripping him of leadership is just a pipe dream for now, much as we'd all want that to happen.
I can't imagine that a pick like Harris goes over well with the far-left that are gung-ho on defunding the police and so on. Whether this energizes their base or whether Harris has a knockout debate performance against Pence, I don't know, but given how Harris didn't even win her own state...
I have the sneaking feeling that groups like the ACLU would try to challenge this, if they haven't already, to try and prevent this from going into action.

I'd wager that Trump probably isn't souring over not getting an endorsement from someone who was part of the Bush administration. Heck, he might even wear that as a badge of honor.
