No they weren't, and that is what YOU aren't getting. These people KNEW who they were voting for. This is a LOCAL event. Everyone knows everyone sort of thing. Noone was duped into anything. Get a brain!
And this is EXACTLY where the rubber hits the road. It is irrelevant to the world at large if it is "right" or not. The world is not a fair place. And this is doubly so in politics.
In a perfect world, where every one played fairly and was above board, THEN it might matter that these...
I would agree if this were in any way similar to what happened and is happening in New Hampshire. But there is no similarity. NO one is accusing anyone of counting the votes incorrectly. There were no "accidents" or anything like that. This was pure old fashioned politicking.
How OLD are you? Twelve?
Are you telling me that you actually think that politicians are going to be charged with fraud for LYING TO PEOPLE?? This is a political operation. And it is not against the law to lie to people in politics. If it were, politics would cease to exist.
You know what, I fucking RESENT this. I actually LIVE in this godforsaken state. I don't bow down before the GOP. I have only been a Republican for two months. Those of us who were made to cast PROVISIONAL ballots at the caucus are spending our day trying to make sure our votes get counted...
I am responding directly to his assertion that the manner in which the slates of delegates were put together represents fraud. Nothing else.
It is not fraud to put together a slate of delegates and call yourself the Ronald Reagan Pro-life slate.
As I said on another thread. These events are...
Dear Young at heart,
You do not understand the system you are condemning. All politics is dirty. But there is something equally important to remember: All politics is local.
It simply is NOT the case that there was some character handing out a list of delegates to the befuddled who don't...
There are NO candidates names on the ballots. Only the delegates names appear on the ballots and only those who KNOW the delegates would know which candidate they are supporting. It is a very local process. I cannot tell you how many people I knew there, and I have only been a Republican for...
Yes, I did. In fact, I JUST got off the phone with them. And there is no one there ranting and raving like a lunatic over a simple (but effective) bit of politicking by the anti-ron slate of delegates.
Live and learn, people, live and learn.
Sometimes I think this is nothing better than a romper room. The lack of discernment exhibited by many people is actually frightening. They believe ANYTHING they read or hear, no matter how cockamamie, and then they will fly off the handle and start harrassing people like there is no tomorrow...
