Those of you that know me know I don't typically endorse anyone, and a lot of times my standards are picky enough I don't vote for anyone in a given race.
Jonathan's the real deal. He's been with the Texas movement since 2007, and when he decided to step up and run for this office I was glad...
To understand this you need to understand the emails that were going around down here prior to the convention. Lots of focus on the training we were doing, with false claims we were teaching people to lie, disrupt, and other nonsense. His point is that didn't happen, and quite the opposite...
We have a statewide network working nearly 24x7 to train and organize delegates, if you're not plugged in let me know what county you're in so we can put you with the right people.
Meh. Some of this I can agree with, some I can't. Certainly don't go in looking for a fight, but if the chair or a group tries to deny you your right to participate, assert your rights and don't take no for an answer. "Go along to get along" is preached over and over again in politics but...
Y'all should understand this is not just "a Santorum supporter", this is one of the two guys that started the 912 group in Tarrant County, and one of the most persistent faces in local politics from that group. Our Tea Party / 912 here was not "co-opted" by the party establishment like happened...
I'm running the training being posted here and coordinating training statewide and I'm fine with people posting it. Y'all do what you think you need to do in your area, and so will we. We've never played the "stealth" game in Tarrant County and I'll line up our wins against anyone else's in...
Texas is not winner take all, it is entirely proportional this time. 10% in the primary will be around 15 delegates pledged on the first round. After the first round, they're all unpledged (this time).
The vote happens months after the delegates are selected this time. May 29th is TOO LATE. If you are in Texas, delegate training is being held or scheduled in your county--if you don't know where, let me know what county you are in.
Political parties are one outworking of the First Amendment right of the people to assemble and petition government for redress of grievances. As such, they cannot be regulated by the government with respect to how they organize, who they nominate, etc. In that respect they are private. But...
Private organizations still operate under contract with members (bylaws) and are accountable to courts for disputes, depending on their actual bylaws. In some states it goes farther and the party rules are enforceable by mandamus.

But first call your county chair and verify that you are not having precinct conventions. The RPT is putting out there that "no one but Travis and Tarrant are doing them" but they simply have no way to know that, it's spin. Several other counties are at least talking about it. The only way to...
