I would love it if Ron Paul were to run third party but it appears he has ruled that out in favor of building his movement within the Republican party to take it back from the big government neo-conservatives. I will vote Libertarian Party and vote for any Ron Paul Republicans in future elections.

These states are filled with people living highly rural, highly independent lives with thier guns and thier desire to just be left the F*#@ alone. They do not like the federal government and so the RP message strikes a chord. This is pretty hard to mimic in more urban, liberal, populated areas.

Friend in Colorado says he has not heard or seen any Ron Paul ads. He has seen Romney ads and Huck on national TV (MSNBC) I heard RP ad in San Francisco KGO radio Seems pretty sparse compared to other candidates from what I gather :(

It is very big in the techie community. They cover many political issues especially having to do with electronic freedom. I have read Slashdot for years and there is a definite libertarian bent.

I've been bugging NORML for years to pay attention to libertarian candidates. They always seem to talk about the latest Democrat. They were pro-Clinton. Clinton increased marijuana interdiction dramatically. Still does not hurt to inform them.

In Oregon a local show calls Ron Paul a "nutjob" and a "nutcase" but he will not answer emails and he won't let RP people on the show and yet he yammers on and on about missing the Reagan coalition.
