At my precinct convention, we elected 5 delegates and 5 alternates. of the 10, 9 are Ron Paul supporters and one is probably a McCain supporter and he's an alternate.
GOP killing McCain's chances
The shennanigans in Austin are perfect for us! Those neocons voting for Hillary cannot participate in the precinct conventions. Ron Paul is going to own the Austin area GOP when we're finished tonight.
But who got elected as precinct leaders and local party chairs? Those who show up take the party back. This may be a disappointing season but it's not over and in the end we're taking our country back and we'll be electing Ron Paul candidates all over the country. Keep your eye on the prize.
April 19th
It's on a Saturday. "The Shot heard round the world" Also it is the day of infamy - Waco. Don't think that the feds pick of that day was a coincidence.
March 19, 5th year anniversary of the Iraq war. I personally think that day would have the most impact.
Troll. A Third party run is an absolute and total waste of time and credibility.
When Ron Paul sent out the message that a brokered convention wasn't likely, he didn't expect Huckster to win any more states.
But in fact, it has been RP supporters who have done well in the caucuses and achieved...
What's most important to note is that Ron Paul alternates could add 25% more support at the county and state level just by making themselves available to do so. When those McCain Ronmey or Huckabee supporters don't show up, a 21% number jumps to 46% if that pattern held.
Those are the rules at the national convention. They are not the state rules. In Montana, there were hundreds of unfilled party positions. Because we knew the rules in Montana, we got 25% even in a closed system. That same 25% is going to make up the real delegates at the national convention...
Yup. And it could be that we do well in Alaska, maybe even win Alaska. Then there's Texas and Washington and a few other western states. If 5 wins is what we need to get around rule 40, then our job is much more clear cut and we aren't nearly as spread out.
We were just not a large enough...
You guys just aren't thinking this through. The delegates that show up at the national convention, even if "committed" to Romney or McCain, became delegates because they supported Ron Paul and got involved. Do you really think they'll be pissed off if they become unbound and can openly support...
This is meaningless at this point. The real delegates to the national conventions are selected at the state conventions. How does the GOP stop a state from selecting Paul as their nominee at the state convention? How does it stop Paul delegates from being elected as delegates to the national...
Exactly right
This is what I've been saying for months, what the campaign has been saying for months, what James Ostrowski has been saying for months and what some of Dr. Paul's supporters just don't get.
Why do you think so much emphasis has been put on the post primary precinct elections...
