I know I'll be in a minority here, but I'm thrilled--seriously. It shows that Ron and Rand (and don't think even for 1/1000th of a second that Rand endorsed Mitt Romney against his father's wishes) are aiming to make themselves long-term powerful players for liberty in the political process...
Thomas will almost certainly win regardless, but he should work as much as possible to unify the party and reach out to those he defeated and their supporters. This will prevent unnecessary primary challenges in the future and minimize bad blood. Carrots for those who get on board and sticks for...
He should be the overwhelming favorite, provided he works to unify the party, keeps his head down and does all of the basics without courting unnecessary controversy (You can bet the Dems will try to paint him as an extremist.) This is arguably the most Republican district in Kentucky though...
Looking very good for Thomas. Not too much of Webb-Edgington's base (Kenton County, about 22% of the District has reported yet) but at this rate she'd have to win it huge and do very well in the counties that haven't reported . . .
Coulter and Beck are both great potential allies
Just like any allies, their interests and ours are not always aligned, and we will not always be in agreement with them. (I'm not always in agreement with Rand or Ron FWIW). But neither of them are establishment tools, and both can do a...
I thought 2008 was a huge victory. I know that there were some that really thought Ron Paul had a chance at the nomination, but I thought that was pure fantasy. It was a great achievement to do as well as we did fighting against the media and establishment But we scared the heck out of the...
Much happier
To see Rand ahead through 3300 votes in Fayette County, which Obama carried. If Rand can hold his own in Fayette and not get slaughtered in Jefferson, he will win.
Early Results don't look good
Conway is outpacing Obama dramatically 10%+ in these rural counties. These are absentee Ballots though, and Conway did much better than these. Rand is also relatively less strong in rural areas than most KY Republicans.
I'm not panicked at all, because the polls...
I voted Republican straight down the line
Always better than the alternative. And at least this time, there are a lot of worthy candidates (other than Rand) on the ballot as well. So I'm finally voting for something rather than against it, which is nice.
Please God. . . .
Tell me that was an intentional joke. Even if it was, I really don't think it was a good idea (much as it may have brought delight to the RPF crowd)
