I agree about Calvert. He is worthless and vulnerable to the right challenger. My good friend Eric Linder just got elected to the State Assembly from that area. He would be a great candidate should he chose to try and move up.
The better angels of my nature say he did this to infiltrate more into the establishment, but my gut tells me that he did this just to further his own career and get paid. It is Ron Paul's ideas that got Jesse to where he is today. Not the other way around.
I totally agree Matt. This is a long term battle. If people who have joined the party because of Ron Paul quit now, then the establishment will win more battles in the future.
I'm friends with Martin Wisckol of the OC Register and alerted him of the rally when it was first announced on Monday. He wrote a very fair article of the rally tonight. He was probably a little conservative in his crowd estimate, but otherwise a good article and great crackback on Michele...
We also got almost 800 new Republican registrations. CA is a closed primary for the GOP Presidential nomination so everyone has to register as a Republican to vote for Ron. Hey we're taking over the party anyways. Might as well get people to align with us.
I will there registering people as Republicans so they can vote in June for Ron Paul and all of great Orange County liberty Central Committee candidates.
Remember in 2008 when McCain "suspended" his campaign to go back to DC and vote AYE on TARP. Contrast that with Ron Paul announcing today that he is going back to DC to vote NO on raising the debt limit another trillion dollars. That's called real leadership.
Some neo cons were posting on my Facebook wall last night that Rand didn't clap when Ron mentioned pulling the troops out of Afghanistan. If they only knew that Rand is just like his old man on foreign policy.
