I've experienced the counter glitch with youtube and wondered whether it was also trying to silence Ron Paul - but people said it was common for that, so I still suspected it could be either way.
But this seems pretty blatant. The only thing I could offer in their defense would be that perhaps, some of the comments were from the previous day and the link you ahve given is only for comments today (excluding yesterdays). It's probably one of the two. However, we all know, from everythign we've seen, that it is not far-fetched to think it could be conspiracy as well.

You-tube is habitually in trouble for this kind of thing. I'm not a fan of his, but I received something about Chris Crocker banning you-tube and starting a comment campaign because they were being dicks about his ratings. It turned out to be nothing I believe.

It would be nice if the counter on the utube pages would show daily and weekly counts as well as a cumulative total. The way it only shows a cumulative total makes it impossible to objectively decide if the honors are accurate or not.
