My latest article to be publsihed to Yahoo News:

http://news.yahoo.com/could-2012-independent-215100778.html

Forgive the Indy theme, the assignment was to write on this angle so I did my best with it.

The steadfast argument of a Paul supporter is that Romney and Obama won't differ on policy, so why blindly support one over another -- because of a party affiliation? No thanks.

Please Facebook Like and Tweet the article to help spread it around. The pay-per-visit/reads get donated back to the campaign.

If Mitt gets the nomination then Paul should run as an Independent. If he does that he really would need to tell the american people its really him vs Obamney. And keep calling Mitt/Obama one person who are bought and paid for by special interest. And bring up things like why would the 99% vote for these candidates who represent the 1% and so forth. I think combining both Mitt/Obama and telling people is he for the average American would help Paul get over 33% in most states.

Out of interest, if you don't mind me asking, how much money do you typically make from each article?

Like a BOSS.

Its my understanding that because there are several states that have fileing deadlines prior to the Republican convention, that if we go to the convention its GOP or bust

Well he could run as Libertarian since from what I understand they are in all states. Gary Johnson would step down and accept a VP spot if Paul decides to run.

Your optimism is admirable, however I believe you are grossly underestimating the power the media have over the sheeple. It really is a case of GOP or bust.

Well 40% of registered voters are Independent and I think he can get 20% of those plus just 15% of Republicans, and some Democrats at least in each state. Right now polls have Paul at 17-18% if he ran 3rd party with Mitt/Santorum as the Republican choice.

This article will be paid as $8 up front (probably paid tomorrow or next day) and $0.01 for every 5 reads (roughly). It's not big money, but being able to return a little media money to the campaign while getting to write favorably about Ron Paul... priceless.

I agree with the understanding that Paul could do quite well as an Independent - most voters, especially indy's only start to pay attention to politics in a general election since for them there is no primary. Even on his worst day Paul would beat the others among Indys and probably take 10-15% of R's and 2-5% of D's in a general election, IMO.

That's the heart of the matter. I think things like this are more effective than writing blogs. You are reaching a larger audience from the platform.

Plus, in an article format, you can Drudge it, post it on FTL and it's going to be shared on social media more.

You write well by the way.

Great contribution. I think Libertarian Party, Constitution Party, or Americans Elect make most sense as first options to consider. Ballot access is a major consideration

Libertarian Party achieved access in 45 state +DC in 2008, without Paul.

Thank you. Judging by the low number of comments on the article, it probably isn't spreading well. That part of this writing is frustrating - it's very hit or miss. Some of what I consider to be my weaker articles are more widely read than some of what I feel are my stronger articles. Oh well, we're making progress.

At this point, I'd like to see an indy run merely to punish the GOP for their fraud and shenanigans in the caucus process.

I am less interested in punishing the GOP than I am spreading the liberty message. National polls indicate strong support beyond the GOP. I feel we have as much ground to gain with the Left as we do with the Right.

Polls predict Paul pulling votes from both Romney and Obama. I see that as an opportunity for liberty ideals to become central topics of discussion. I cannot think of a better way to spread the message. We can pull both Left and Right further in our direction.
