How is that even possible..

8 Million to me, seems like a TON of money to have raised.... I was thinking Rand would bring in like 2-3 million..... YET Carlson brings in 8 million and CRUZ brings in 51 Millions --- WTF!!!!! I know Cruz has a billionaires backing him.... but omgoodness.... that is HUGE MONIES...

I am either not even close in my approximations on what I thought Rand would bring in, or he is just wayyyyyy behind... these other dudes.

Rand brought in more than that in the last couple weeks.

My guess is $10-15 million for the quarter, not bad at all.

Cruz has a billionaires backing him....

Yes

Neither Rand nor any liberty candidate will ever have the kind of money that establishment whores can earn.

...Not so many rich people want to derail the gravy train.

We have to win in spite of this disadvantage.

Rand raised 2 million in the first 2 weeks, probably the same the last 2 weeks. Everything in between, an average $100K per day. Guestimate: $10 million from small donors, no idea from the PACs, I didn't watch them.

Rand needs enthusiasm. Small donors and door knockers. OK, a billionaire backing him would be great too!

The Cruz campaign has a habit of making statements that combine the contributions to SuperPACs with the contributions to the actual campaign. Rand might have more actually donated to his campaign than Cruz had donated to his. I'm not really sure how much money Rand's SuperPACs have raised.

A certain libertarian billionaire in silicon valley will not be donating to any of the Rand Paul super PACs for 2016 due to how they wasted the money on that ridiculous Ron Paul 2012 truck advert and divided the money among themselves.

Any of the old-timers around here remember the "billionaire" thread back in '08? Oh boy that thread turned the forum upside down!

Money follows success. Once Rand starts moving up the polls, donations will flow. And for all Ted's money, he's left at the back of the pack, kissing Trump's backside for attention.

Yea, Cruz is done. He alienated his own base at just about exactly the same time as he captured this big money (perhaps not coincidentally).

cruzin for a loozin
