Would you rather own gold or....

Oh gold (and silver), most definitely.

I know it's old-fashioned, but I don't feel secure if I can't actually "hold my money in my hands" and know where it is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That's why I've never trusted banks.

If Bitcoin still holds it's value in 6000 years, I'll consider it. As it is, in Nebuchadnezzers time, an oz gold coin would buy about the same quality of food, lodging, or labor as it does today. That's holding its value.

When silver was around $42 my brother had some junk coins he wanted to sell. I gave him a fair price at the time. Today I sit on a loss. But, had he had FRN from 1963 how much would they be worth?

I'll go against the grain and take bitcoin...would end up playing with it a bit then eventually buy gold and/or silver.

Gold. I'm not a big fan of bitcoin. My guess is bitcoin will be gone in 10 years or so. There's no substitute for something real with intrisic value.

I own both, both have different purposes and completely different usages. I'm an Austrian Econ supporter, so I don't support the concept of a single currency. I support competing decentralized currencies.

I agree, I own both also. Cryptocurrencies are the future though (As long as we can keep the government from outright banning them). It should also be legal for gold to be used as legal tender.

Ya I'll take the bitcoin and use it to buy gold and silver, hold onto a little bitcoin for good measure.

Bitcoin for me.

I'm about 10:1 bitcoin to PMs right now and I'd actually like to get more into bitcoin. The potential ROI on bitcoin is just insanely high right now IMO.
