Hey!

So what started as a thread to create a brochure a few weeks ago is now turning into a website about Ron Paul with content written by women for women. We'll unveil the site when it's ready for public consumption.

We're collecting material for some of the sections on our site and need submissions from female Ron Paul supporters. If you are a female Ron Paul supporter we would love your help. If you have female Ron Paul supporters in your life who may be interested in participating please send them our way.

The question: How do you see life changing if Ron Paul and others like him take charge in our country? What hopes and dreams of yours would come true if Ron Paul is elected? Please submit your answer. Submit however short or long of an answer you like. Please help us see the future with Ron Paul as you see it. Provide at least your first name, state and an email where you can be reached (we won't spam you).

A couple notes: 1) This site is geared towards women who are brand new to Ron Paul as well as supporters so simple answers are just as helpful as complicated ones. 2) Don't worry if you aren't a "writer" we will be proofreading and (if needed) prettying your submission up a little without losing your voice.

An example of the above to help clarify (mostly for the guys): It would be great not to tense up every time I look at the news and see a soldier in combat, worrying that our government has decided we have to micromanage some new country and sent in troops. Many of my friends would get their husbands, brothers and sons back from these endless wars that terrify them and their children daily. The cheapest foods at the grocery store and restaurants wouldn't be the stuff full of government subsidized GMO high fructose corn syrup and soy. When my husband gets a raise it won't just help make up the difference between what prices were 2 years ago and what they are now thanks to inflation. We'll actually be able to buy a few extras or catch up a bit.

We're also collecting short profiles of female Ron Paul supporters for another section of our site. If you (or someone you know) would like to participate in this please submit:

  • a photo of yourself
  • your name (we will just use your first if you prefer)
  • your age (hedging this question or skipping it is completely ok if you like)
  • where you live (however much you are comfortable saying)
  • A bit about your family/pets (another one that's negotiable if you'd rather not)
  • work/hobbies/interests
  • how you learned about Ron Paul
  • what issue is most important to you in the 2012 election?
  • how do you keep the (political) passion alive? (activism, interaction with other supporters, reading, etc.)

Please email all submissions to: [email protected] or PM me here on the forum.

Also let us know if you are interested in speaking to the media if we receive inquiries as we've already heard from people who want Ron Paul women to interview.

We're hoping to get up and running ASAP so there is a little time before Super Tuesday to get women in there and help them look at the issues. We will be adding new content frequently so there is no time limit for your submissions but sooner is better.

In addition we just started a forum, that will eventually be linked to the site, for female supporters and also women who want to learn more about Ron Paul (whether or not they support him). Ladies, bring your friends. If you are a guy please send any women you know who have questions/concerns about Ron Paul to the forum in addition to female supporters you know.

Thank you! :)

I know they would LOVE to participate in a idea like this.

You go under the "good men" heading. ;)

The question: How do you see life changing if Ron Paul and others like him take charge in our country?

Is this specifically to promote Ron Paul, or to generally to promote RON PAUL TYPE candidates. Singleness of purpose.

HOW DO YOU SEE LIFE CHANGING IF . . . wishful thinking, daydreaming.

HOW DO YOU WANT YOUR LIFE TO CHANGE, & HOW DO YOU SEE RON PAUL FACILITATING THAT CHANGE?

What hopes and dreams of yours would come true if Ron Paul is elected?

A question like this would never be put to a man, and rightly so.

I sent one via email -- instead of my photo -- I sent a chart of the dept of Education costs vs student performance
and wrote a bit about ending the Federal Dept. of Education.

I've posted a few videos on YouTube about my support for Dr. Paul.
I'm RonPaulGirl1776
I'll email you too once I get to my computer..

Great idea!!! +Rep!

This is a great idea! I'll submit my reasons and I don't mind filling out anything else. I'll also see if my younger sister and my 18 y/o daughter would like to submit something too. That way you'll get a nice age range in there. Now if only I could get my apathetic mom on board!

Women know what she means and a bit of wishful thinking is not bad (we're marketing to women, not men). Of course we're not going for rainbows and unicorns (well, maybe a unicorn or two ;) ), has to be realistic to a certain degree because he isn't going to change everything immediately, but hope inspires. ;) And it should be noted that what she's asking for is just one aspect of the site, a testimonial type page where women from all walks can see that not all RP supporters are men and college students and why women like Paul and his ideas, too. Women like stories from other women, they like sharing emotions and hearing/feeling/understanding other women. Real women sharing real feelings is moving. This isn't the meat of the site but an added bonus. :)

For now it's Paul. Getting women to look at him and learn enough to want to learn more. Other ideas are floating around re: the future of the site and liberty but, for now, the focus is Paul and presenting him and his positions in a way that will *hopefully* get more women to take a second (or first) look at him.

Great to see so many folks participating. It's going to be a unique site that we think will capture the female imagination about a Paul presidency.

Bear in mind there is no shortage of comments on this board IMPUGNING women for superficiality, illogical wishful thinking and worse.

For now it's Paul.

Then leave LIBERTARIANISM and other LIBERTARIAN-LEANING people out of it.

Women are LESS apt to cling to party LABELS and more apt to cling to SPECIFIC ISSUES and SPECIFIC TRAITS.

Ron Paul SHOT HIMSELF IN THE FOOT when he didn't go for Gingrich's jugular on CHRONIC INFIDELITY. Women, unlike men, SEE THRU the self-serving horseshit that he has CHANGED now that ERECTIONS must be chemically induced. Women GET that a man who betrays his Significant Other has got NO PROBLEM betraying faceless Voters. Barring profound psychological reorganization, which Gingrich has CLEARLY not experienced, Liars & Cheaters only change by becoming more SLY.

Getting women to look at him and learn enough to want to learn more. Other ideas are floating around re: the future of the site and liberty but, for now, the focus is Paul and presenting him and his positions in a way that will *hopefully* get more women to take a second (or first) look at him.

Fair enough, BUT...

Y'all may want a DIFFERENT brochure for Independent/Moderate/Disenchanted/Undecided women than for the women who already support a DIFFERENT (Hardright) Republican.

Unless they are stuck-in-their-ways Grannies, I haven't met a woman in TWENTY YEARS who still sees a male gynecologist. Delivering 4000 babies (some pro bono!) does NOT establish Personhood at Conception for most women, NOR persuade them of a physician's POLITICAL APTITUDE and LEADERSHIP CAPABILITY.

Yes, for now the focus is Ron Paul but if this really catches on we are fully prepared to transition it to more of a general website where women can explore the issues with an eye towards individual liberty and sound money.

The dream thing is just one aspect of the site. More practical information will be available. The hopes/dreams of real women are needed because most of what Ron Paul is advocating has not been the case in living history so there is no strong oral tradition or memory of things being that way. While RP is a wonderful guy he does a bad job of helping women who are new to his ideas imagine "a world with President Ron Paul". So, we're filling the void.
