Monday is Dyngus Day. Polish tradition to party heavily the day after Easter.
Buffalo is the Dyngus Day capitol of the world. We will have a bigger Freedom float in the parade this year. This is a wild partying parade that takes place in Old Polonia on the east side of Buffalo. Amongst the ashes of the bombed out hood returns the former Polish residents to ignite all the old taverns and churches for a weekend of beer, squirt guns, and pussy willows. The old historic devastated Penn Central Terminal is the glorious backdrop. St. Patty's is pretty mellow compared to this.
If your from the Western New York area, join us walking with our New York State Resistance Freedom float in our division. We were a big hit last year and were in the newspaper.
