YEAH! You read it right!

I had not planned to send out any more e-mails encouraging people to get themselves to Minnesota for "Ron Paul's Rally for the Republic" but a post on the Nashville Meetup site recently prompted me to send out this e-mail.

It beats all I've ever seen but here is the post from a husband and new father:

"My wife had our baby last week and I'm thinking about getting up there [to the Ron Paul Rally] and back since I just read this inspiring email by some dude from Nashville paying off his student debts.

Is there anyone carpooling who has a seat left? I'm just putting out feelers. Haven't even talked to the wife yet. I think she'll be supportive. We've both been disgusted by the poilitcal theater this election. Everything is so planned and staged. It's like living in a Vonnegut story.

Thanks so much for the work you. I look forward to hearing from you.
"

*SO THERE YOU HAVE IT!!!!

A new father and husband is willing to give up 3 days with his newborn and wife in order to attend the "Rally for the Republic with Ron Paul"!!! This is amazing to me. Each one of you now need to ask yourself this question: "If people are making sacrifices like this, what is my excuse for not attending?"

Everyone that is going to the Rally is making some sort of sacrifice to get there. This could be the single most important political event in our nation's history in decades. I guarantee you that many generations into the future fiscal conservatives, civil libertarians, historians, scholars, freedom lovers, and policy makers will be discussing the event in Minneapolis next week. In fact the honest truth of it is that depending on the actions that result from the "Rally for the Republic", the historical significance of the event will probably outlive the historical significance of the GOP Convention just a few miles away in (ironically enough) St. Paul, MN.

So will you be making history with us?

Everything you need to know about the "Rally for the Republic" is at this website:

*I just hope the kid's name contains either "Ron" or "Paul" (unless of course it's a girl) [:p]

What kind of sacrifice is that? Getting away form a screaming baby for a few days would probably be his idea of heaven right now. It's no sacrifice at all, it sounds a bit self-centered to me.

You don't have a wife and kid do you :[.

I had a teacher who encouraged us to stay after so he didn't have to go home to his wife and kid... He offered us extra credit and candy, no joke.

Let's hope the government doesn't decide to start regulating procreation too.
We are getting closer to 1984 everyday.

If it happens, it will be dependent on IQ... and everybody here would be much too smart to be allowed to procreate.

The power elite need a managable working class.

The prussians were the first to document a public education program designed to make a managable working class.

"I propose a captive breeding program.... this new breeding race much like the arms race will depend on selecting females of the utmost features. And for efficiency each male will have to breed with many females in hopes that we can outbreed the enemy. Otherwise the terrorists/communists/socialists/Mormons win"

If you don't get the reference - see the movie "Dr. Strangelove"

I have this innate ability to highjack threads. I don't intend to do it.. i just see connecting points.. and I am compelled to comment on them.

You don't have a wife and kid do you... I for one think it is self-centured... because leaving a immobile wife and screaming baby is anything but sacrafice. He must have one COOL wife to get away with that.

I'd choose the Rally for the Republic over a screaming and crying baby any day.

The kid will still be screaming and crying when he gets back- he won't miss anything.

Nope, no wife and kid! You caught me.

I suppose you are right. It does seem a bit self-centered. Leaving the wife at home after she just pushed a....well, you've all seen the miracle of life video, and going to an event you can probably see online.

i could of went, but I chose my first day of college instead ;). i dont want to start off at the wrong foot with my professors! its reverse sacrifice. im sacrificing an event for education, it's horrible I know.
