This may not only bring down alleged butcher dictator & Trump's controversial son-in-law's chum implicated in recent torture/dismembering/killling of WaPo journalist, chances of Syria/Iran wars hungry neocons cabal ( GOP-Jarvanka wing/Israel firsters in current administration/assortment of right-wing neocons etc) sinking GOP with them will rise if following reports are confirmed.
Why the Khashoggi Murder Is a Disaster for Israel
The grisly hit-job on Khashoggi has implications far beyond its exposure of the Saudi Crown Prince as brutal and reckless. In Jerusalem and D.C., they’re mourning their whole strategic concept for the Mideast - not least, for countering Iran

But its implications go deeper than the tragedy visited upon Khashoggi’s family and fiancee. It raises fundamental questions for the United States and Israel about their whole strategic concept in the Middle East.
On the one hand, cynics could argue that the brazenness of Khashoggi’s murder differed only in degree, than kind, from the longstanding behavior of Arab autocrats, including those allied with the United States.

■ Beheaded, dismembered: Turkish paper publishes gruesome details from audio of Saudi journalist's torture
There are no boy scouts in the Middle East, and the U.S.-Saudi alliance has persisted through decades of repressive Saudi policies against their own people.
American interests could still be served by some of the economic and social reforms that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) has championed, and by the advancement of the joint strategic goals of checking Iranian aggression in the region. Those considerations cannot be so easily dismissed.
But the Khashoggi murder, beyond obliterating red lines of immorality, also points to the fundamental unreliability of Saudi Arabia under MBS as a strategic partner. What happened in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul echoes words once used to describe Napoleon’s elimination of an opponent: "It’s worse than a crime. It’s a mistake." One might add, a strategic mistake.
Already, MBS had proven himself to be a reckless and impulsive actor in conducting Saudi foreign policy. His legitimate campaign against the Iranian-backed Houthi in Yemen has been prosecuted with total disregard for the vast suffering of civilians it has caused. His forced resignation of Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri blew up in his face.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo meets with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh. October 16, 2018.AFP Saudi Arabia's all-out blockade of Qatar has distracted the Gulf states from their common goal of containing Iran and produced minimal results. And MBS’s severing of relations with Canada over a tweet criticizing Saudi detentions of human rights activists was an absurd overreaction.
But now, clearly at MBS’s direction, a terrible murder was committed, essentially out in the open. And the Saudis lied about it to President Trump for days. They are still lying.
Trump himself may care little, motivated by his own amorality or the over-hyped job-creating impact of Saudi weapons orders.
But MBS did not take into account that in ordering the Khashoggi hit, he crossed all lines of acceptability to the American public and the bipartisan membership of Congress. Indeed, the harshest criticisms and calls for consequences have come from Republican Senators Lindsey Graham and Marco Rubio.
Again, one can be cynical about this. Saudi repression is not new, and perhaps the American political system could accommodate it if it stayed below a certain level of visibility. The outcry was not nearly as loud as perhaps it should have been over the imprisonment of Saudi women’s rights activists, which took place at the same time that women were finally given the right to drive cars.
But MBS miscalculated badly by not understanding that the kidnapping and dismembering of a U.S. resident journalist, whose only crime was expressing his views, simply was more than Americans could tolerate.

Saudi Arabia’s barbaric, blood-soaked tyrant MBS is no Crown Prince Charming - it’s time President Trump held his medieval mate’s feet to the fire

What’s the worst way to possibly die?
It’s hard to imagine anything more sickening and barbaric than what is alleged to have happened to Saudi Arabian journalist Jamal Khashoggi, a columnist for the Washington Post.
He was apparently lured to the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey, where he was confronted by a 15-man hit squad that had flown in from Riyadh to murder him.
But not, it is claimed, quickly.
Jamal Khashoggi died in one of the worst ways imaginable. For seven long minutes he was tortured and hacked to pieces with a bone-saw while he was still alive. His body carted off in bags to be dissolved in acid
He was dragged from the consul-general’s office to the table of a study next door.
There, for seven long, agonising minutes, Khashoggi was reportedly tortured and hacked to pieces with a bone-saw while he was still alive.
He was decapitated and had his fingers cut off one by one.
Then, the severed remains of his torso were put in 15 plastic bags and removed, to be later dissolved in acid.
Khashoggi’s ‘horrendous’ screams of pain were so loud they were heard downstairs by a witness.
The chief executioner was allegedly ‘Dr Death’ Salah Muhammad al-Tubaigy, ‘head of forensic evidence’ for the Saudi general security department.
His official title is President of the Saudi Fellowship of Forensic Pathology and he’s a man who enjoys his work.
As Tubaigy began to dismember Khashoggi’s body, he apparently put on earphones and listened to music, advising other members of the squad to do the same.

‘When I do this job, I listen to music,’ he was recorded as saying. ‘You should do (that) too.’
Aftewards, cleaning crews were brought in to scrub and repaint the blood-stained crime scene.
The more we learn about this horrific murder, the more disgusting it gets.
But one thing is increasingly obvious: he wasn’t killed ‘accidentally’ during a botched interrogation, as Saudi sources are desperately trying to suggest.
The consulate witness who heard the screams was clear: ‘They came to kill him to kill him, not interrogate him.’
Of course they did.
A 15-man team of highly trained men including royal House of Saud bodyguards and intelligence officers weren’t sent from Saudi Arabia to Turkey to have a ‘little chat’ with Khashoggi.
They were sent to silence him – permanently.
And to do it in such a despicable and depraved manner that it would deter others from following his path.
And they would never have dared do this without the express knowledge and approval of Saudi Arabia’s new 33-year-old crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, who likes to call himself ‘MBS’.
What had Khashoggi’s done to offend MBS?
Simple: he dared to tell the truth.
