It'd be one thing if they bumped Rand for some other putz but Cruz is basically a stand-in for Rand. Let's face it, Cruz has next to nothing in common with Flimsey and I'm sure the tone of his speech will clearly show that. I'm sure he'll be cordial but the fact is, Cruz has been making a name for himself alongside Rand on almost every major issue that the media has been talking about. Also, Cruz is smart to roll with Rand because that endears him to the constitutionalist/libertarian base.
exactly, ^^^^^^^^^, which is why i will say this again. If the republican nominee doesn't support legal medical and personal marijuana along with hemp. They will lose colorado/washington etc etc a swing state and the election in 2016. This is the only way the Constitutional/Libertarian/Indy/Dems/Republicans/Various Coalitions in the Colorado Voter Base(hint a majority voter block, easily 58-72% in my counties) will support a Republican Candidate. If the gop refuses to support individual liberty and the us constitution/colorado constitution along with the 2nd amendment. Then the whig party(aka gop) will have already lost 2014 and 2016!!!
Are all your posts about Colorado?
Just because marijuana is the only issue you seem to care about doesn't mean that's the only issue all Americans or the people from Colorado care about. I mean seriously you turned a thread about SCGOP dissing Rand into one about Colorado and marijuana. Neither were mentioned in this thread.
hxxp://dailycaller.com/2013/05/03/ted-cruz-delivers-keynote-speech-in-early-presidential-primary-state/Before the event, organizers emphasized that they invite the caliber of Republicans who run for president to the event. Ronald Reagan, John McCain, Newt Gingrich and Marco Rubio have all spoken at the traditional dinner. It was held at the State Fairgrounds in Columbia.
“The Silver Elephant Celebration has a storied tradition of bringing the brightest stars in the GOP to South Carolina — many of whom have run for national office,” said Chad Connelly, the chairman of the South Carolina Republican Party. “Reflecting on that tradition, we felt that Sen. Ted Cruz was a compelling choice.”
Tom Davis must have been there because he tweeted out how Cruz praised Rand Paul for showing real leadership while standing 15 feet away from Lindsey Graham.
