Why neoconservative guests on Stossel and Cavuto?

Are the Stossel and Cavuto shows moving in a neoconservative direction? No idea if this a trend or not. It could just be coincidence, and I certainly don't follow these shows closely. But it was interesting that both Stossel and Cavuto had neoconservative guests on their shows last week (Stossel had Bill Kristol and Neal Cavuto had Brigitte Gabriel). That was a very limited sample, and it comes from only seeing one episode each last week. Any regular viewers out there?

Who makes the decisions about who is a guest on these shows? Does it sometimes come down from the top? It should be common knowledge that Rupert Murdoch, CEO of Fox News parent corporation, and former owner of The Weekly Standard, is very much in the neoconservative camp. Does he pass down edicts on guests? Suggestions?

Or is this a function of show producers? Have the producers been changed on the Stossel or Cavuto shows, at Fox Business, or at Fox News in general?

Probably because there are only so many liberty minded people who are good on TV, and they cant just have the same people over and over again.

Also, it makes for good debate / discussion to have opposing views.

And it gives them credibility by letting opposing views on their show.

Unfortunately, the parts I saw it was not a debate of "opposing" views. It was more like agreement.
