He won't support Haley Barbour for President because when Obama went down to Mississippi, Governor Barbour patted Obama on the back. That didn't make my dad happy.

He also refused to support Charlie Christ too because Charlie was apparently overly friendly with Obama when he visited Florida too.

Crist hugging Obama was the main reason he had to leave the Republican Party and run as an independent.

In a way that seems kinda sad...he must really not like Ron Paul because of his bipartisan work with Barney Frank and Bernie Sanders in the senate.

I won't support Haley Barbour because, at the SRLC this past year, he included this in his speech:

"We cannot let our party be torn apart by purity." -Haley Barbour

I get what your saying, but my dad likes Ron (mostly due to me prodding him along the right path lol). :p

But it's amazing how much he has changed his mind on a lot of things in the last couple of years.

My mom and Dad are GOP county coordinators in Ky. They are unshakable Palin fans (although they supported Rand...my Dad had some discussions with David Adams about Rand's libertarianism).

I haven't yet been able to get them to understand the evils of interventionism. They are just convinced that we must militarily confront Muslims. But, my dad is starting to listen to Ron more because of all the work we did for Rand in these past few months.

Well the trick to it is to ask them, how is the government going to pay for the overseas adventures? Would they like Social Security to be eliminated? Because that is what it would take. That usually gets them thinking PDQ :)
