The establishment has always used a strategy that had a Win-Win scenario, leaving us to pick the lesser of two evils. This whole idea that its going to end up with paul and Mitt being left alone to duke it out is in my opinion totally against what we have seen. A mitt vs. paul actually gives voters a chance, an opportunity!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but they wont give us that opportunity and we will never see a 1 Vs. 1 with Mitt and Ron, leaves too much too much risk for the establishment. Placing a strategy on hitting the side shows(Santorum, Gingrich, Huntsman, Perry) is not only a waste of time but a waste of LIMITED funds.

look at their strategy, not the individuals themselves, but the ESTABLISHMENT! We need to hit Mitt and make him the next Newt. I was happy to see our campaigns ads topple the head of the establishments runner, why aren't we doing the same with Mitt????

Am i wrong with this thinking? Super Tuesday will be just around the corner guys, we need to hit Mitt NOW!!

I agree.

No more Santorum, Newt or anyone. Time to hit Romney and ONLY Romney; make it clear that Ron see's him as his only competition.

Sorry, but there is no sure thing in the game of politics.

Attack Mitt and what? Polls have shown that the second choice of Mitt supporters isn't Paul. You will only bolster others that will keep them in the game.

I'm guessing the tactic is, attack when you can win. Mitt has already invested so much in NH. An attack on Mitt here, now could come across as a failure when Mitt is already polling so high. I'm assuming there will be a time and a place for this.

after florida i would be surprised if we're not down to 4 or 3. Hunstman and Perry are almost certain to be out. Did Paul just kill Newt with his "I went" response? If he did it will be down to three. Then its simply a matter if santorum can gain any traction in nevada, maine, minnesota.....all places ron is spending time in. santorum is the one in trouble i think. i think by feb 21st it will be down to romney and paul and then we got our real battle and some ground to make up

Santorum has nothing after SC
Huntsman is done now
Why is Perry even still here?
Gingrich is betting it all in SC

Unless the GOP gets together and decides to direct some of its members to funnel money to one of the above (which is very possible,) then we are headed to a 2 man race, in my opinion.

So, will they do that? I honestly think it depends how things go the next couple of weeks. If Santorum is strong, then you're probably right, we'll see Mitt-Santorum-Paul going down to the end.

Yea I hope for something like that but just look at the front page of MSM.
How long was it before it was a two way race between Mitt and McCain?

Because Ron Paul is SO different from Romney, that the sooner it's Paul v. Romney, it will be that much easier to get votes. Even the Republican establishment isn't sure about Mitt. This is why they pushed Newt, and now Santorum. There's a big "anyone but Romney" feeling, and if Ron's the only one left standing, the only one rattling off the "tea party" ideals, he will eventually get the votes he needs.

Early on, but the game board was nothing like it is now. All early State delegates with the exception of Florida are split. Florida is cut in half. The Super Tuesday has been pushed out farther.

Never. It was between McCain and Huckabee. But, that is irrelevant. The election process is much different now. The winner take all states (With the exception of Florida) are at the very end of the process. All we have to do is keep our heads above water until the Neocons drop out and it's down to us and Romney.

I think that's overly optimistic, you have to be assertive. If Ron is the one who takes Mitt down it doesn't matter who Mitt's voters second choice is, they will gravitate to Ron.

The one area that we need to start locking up are the supporters of the other candidates.

The campaign really needs to start releasing a foreign policy ad right after New Hampshire.

Keep spreading the truth.

Because everyone else but Ron Paul and Mitt Romney are embarrassing themselves by staying in. Besides, Ricky Perry would rather go shoot some ducks.

I cant believe how so many in here who profess to be "free thinkers", will so slavishly worship the wisdom of "the campaign".

Do you all not see the Romney Freight train that is about to steamroll us all? If Mitt's Mo is not stopped NOW...forget about Super Tuesday!

This lovefest between Dr. Paul and Slick Romney has GOT to stop NOW! I swear, I really think Mitt's moles are pouring poison in Ron's and Jesse's ears.

Anyone have background on this Doug Wead fellow?

Wrong. It is the opposite.

Seriously dont see this ending in a 2 man race lol..........

It's wishful thinking, but it's not reality. The way the system is set up, they wont allow it.

Should be hitting romney, let the sideshows fall out natrually since their campaigns cant keep up or fund further and try to get our percetages as close to romney as possible.

weaken him as much as possible and not hoping for a critical blow last minute.

What you wrote there is a fact that many posters here just cannot grasp.

It's most likely going to end in a brokered convention. Do you people even know how the electoral college works?
