Why does everyone here care what Beck, Rush, Hannity, et al, say about our candidate?

Seriously, if you're waiting for the day that these talking head morons do anything other than bash Ron Paul, you're going to wait a very long time.

Maintaining the status quo is top priority for neocon radio talk show hosts (and the Fox News Network)...they get their marching orders/talking points from the GOP establishment that must be delivered to the sheep every day. I don't expect anything more or less from them...they are part of the reason why we're in the mess we're in.

I don't care that much. They're just parts of the propaganda machine we have to deal with in defending RP.

Because of all the people who believe them.

This, and therefore we care about what doubters and skeptics think. Those guys are like gurus, and their followers listen to their words. Kudos to those who actually listen to these scumbags on the off chance they say something nice about Ron for a politically motivated reason.

Because of all the people who believe them.

I get that, but we have to realize that we're just not going to get all of Beck's and Rush's die-hard fans. We can get some, and I think we're better off explaining the issues to those we know face-to-face (I have had a moderate amount of success that way).

Because those fake conservative whores have great influence over how people think. I just got into an argument with a co-worker who listens to them. These people are herded and don't know they are selling their souls.

I believe the goal is not to convince the host but to know what they are saying so we can counter it. I hear the same lines that come from these hosts repeated by their listeners.

Know thy enemy?

Because they have not completely broken free of the propaganda matrix they live in. Once they do, no longer will the "opinions" of paid talkers influence them. Instead they will start their own blogs and news websites. Once you have declared yourself free and independent acting on ones owns belief's and opinions becomes a priority. Taking real action in the real world to make your beliefs a reality. One way I do this is taking the loong view on this battle of freedom VS. tyranny. Another is to fund the Ron Paul for President Campaign. An easy simple step would be to TURN OFF THE PROPAGANDIST. (The propagandist are paid to say what they say. These people will NEVER "learn" or "come around." The only opinions that are important are YOURS!)

"Does everyone care what ...think about our candidate?"

Indisputable fact - the answer is NOT everyone cares.. I do not care about what they say. I listen to none of those 3. So everyone does not care about them.

Mainly because about 75% of the people here seem to still have half of their brain dog-paddling in the establishment's kiddie pool.

Because we need votes to win this thing. And unfortunately, you can't win an election without winning over idiots.

For example, right now, Beck is lying saying RP didn't support going after terrorists who attacked on 9-11. Might as well call him out as a liar.

They insult me when they attack him. Here seems like a natural place to effervesce that frustration.

Between all of them, they have MILLIONS of loyal listeners who are registered Republicans. In case some of you are unaware, we need them to win.

Had Beck, Levin, Hannity, et al. been talking positively of Paul, we would have taken first in Iowa, N.H. and be polling first in S.C. I guarantee it.

It is important to know what they are saying.

Fox is a semi-official network of the Republican party; they control much of the discussion.

there is hope; Cavuto is fair and to a lesser degree Hannity (more so to Rand but its a start)

Beck is the surprise. a year ago I thought Beck would be on board.

I know his ratings are down but Rush has an average of 15 million listeners. I don't care who you are, that's a whole lot of people. Not to mention, what Rush says, many in the media pay attention because of the weight he can throw around. He's mentioned on Fox, MSNBC, CNN, etc. all the time.

Many might not like it, but if Rush came out today singing Ron Paul's praises, Paul would get a bump, and many would start paying more attention just because Rush said it. It's sad but true.
