Why did Jack Conway Win the Democrat Primary?

When I was making calls for Rand before the primary I talked to several supporting couples that were registered to opposite parties in order to influence the democrats.

I heard from 3 different poll workers that a great number of Dems asked if they could vote on the Republican ticket so they could vote for Rand...

$

and Louisville.

this is it.

I'm in Kentucky, and I know more than a couple people who are conservative Republicans, but who register Democrat so they can vote in Democratic primaries.

i got my entire family to register as Repubs (they were Dems) so they could vote for Rand. i think they were all sorry for changing, though, because we had zero local candidates to vote for. the local candidates are all running as Democrats. like 6 of them running for each county office.... sucks. however, i did get a couple more votes for Rand like this. its no wonder there arent many registered Republicans. If I didn't like voting in national GOP primaries so much I'd switch back myself so I could have a little bit of say regarding how my county is ran

locally, rand may be less vulnerable than many media people think he is!
both the RNC and DNC think the opposition fielded the weaker candidate!!!
south carolina's local Democrats have an attack site up on demint. this is early...
mitch mcconnell did not looked worried at the unity rally, was he thinking of
what he had heard the DNC was doing in order to not elect jim demint???

Yeah, but I'm not sure if it was a good call. This is mobilizing progressives. Mind you, most of them are outside of KY, like Al Franken fundraising for Conway, but each of the Dem candidates had pros and cons.

What does KY think of Conway being championed by the Daily Kos and Al Franken?
