what's with all the 'bump' comments?

I've been seeing posts with just 'bump' or 'guerrilla bump' on them. What is this?

Just means they are "bumping" the thread up to the top. Its just what people say when they don';t have anything to add but they don't want the thread to die, so they move it to the top. Thats all.

I agree, but i'm just explaining its purpose, not supporting it.

It was done in response to an offensive thread earlier ==> to bump "up" all other threads so the offensive one would be bumped "down"/disappear. I think the Mods have taken it out of the forum altogether.
