first and foremost this is not an "advice for ron" thing here. but, just for kicks, id like to hear what the forum members think is important for the next two nights to solve or address.

what id like to see is

1- ask huntsman to explain how that video was linked to his campaign before it was even viewed 2 times?

2- IF the letters are broughts up id like to see him call out the media for dragging out a lie about him now that a name in the bi-line was found by ben swann.

3- would love for him to call gingrich a chicken hawk draft dodger in front of america and ask him how he can even begin to expect to seen young men and women to war if he got a deferment for himself.

4-would like to see him call out santorum and ask him whats so disgusting about following the constitution.

5- would like him to defend the soldier who supports him.. so you can fight for the country as long as you keep your mouth shut?

what would you hope happens toady??:toady::toady::toady:

If he even ONCE mentions cutting a trillion he NEEDS to say 'while specifically providing for senior entitlements and health care for the poor'.

those are topics others will bring up to drag him down. He needs responses in hand, but shouldn't bring them up himself, imho. He has a fantastic platform, he needs to get it out there.

He shouldn't attack the Hunstman campaign if the video is brought up, he should attack the mainstream media for running with the story all day long even though it was obvious that Ron Paul's campaign didn't upload it and there was no way to know who did. He should call them on their bullshit.

I don't want to see an angry Paul, but I want to see him clearly and firmly rebut any accusations made against him tonight.

I also want him to separate himself from the pack as the true conservative alternative to Romney. Ron needs to be the anti-Romney if he's going to pull this off.

One thing that back to back debates allows is the opportunity to clarify any positions the very next day.

The campaign will in all likelihood take advantage of this.

Huntsman is going to go after him tonight and you can bet JH is going to be given every opportunity to do so. Ron needs to just deal with anything that huntsman attacks him on quickly and then say things like 'Why are we discussing this when the government takes away our liberties, the fed devalues our money' etc

Ron should answer the questions they ask him. I doubt he will be given a chance to set his own agenda as to what he will be allowed to say.

This is the question Ron will be asked:

"You say you were not responsible for the newsletters having your name, not responsible for the twit coming from your account, not responsible for the video done by your supporters. How do we know that you'll be able to manage the actions of other people when you become the President?"

In a way Huntsman and some TV people already asked him this question. What's the best answer?

Its not his job to manage what other people do. Ron is responsible for what he does.

Ron should suggest the press investigate who's actually responsible for the ad instead of making assumptions with no hard information. They don't do it before invading countries, I doubt they'll start now.

I actually say most of those questions are things he should avoid at all costs, why bring up things like the video and newsletters? Let those things die already. I don't like attacks either, one of the big reasons me and my family got hooked on Ron was watching him in the debates and sitting there seeing all those other's bickering like children and there was Ron, always sticking to the issues, remember he's "the only grown-up in the room". Defending himself, fine, attacking, no.

good point - it ignores the Huntsman press release and interviews on it, but you don't want to hit down.

A good response would be: "I am also not responsible for you asking that irrelevant question instead of asking a question relating to the dire issues facing this nation right now", and then go on to talk about the Fed and ending the wars. He should not dignify these smears with the time of day and talk about the issues and the issues only.

Unfortunely, most of America is not your family. These smear campaigns are extremely effective and it's sad. If people actually focused on the issues, Ron Paul would win in a landslide but look at mainstream media. It's infotainment. The people don't actually care about the country even if they worry about the jobs and the economy. Hell, they vote more in American idol than they do in presidential elections. What does that tell you?

It's just a sad state of affairs. Sure, most of us blame the government for all our problems but who elected them? Who didn't even bother preventing their election? This is as much the people's fault as it is the government's which is the problem with our republic.

If everyone voted third party, most of these things wouldn't even happen...

If I were he I wouldn't mention it but would be informed about the situation if asked. It's not worth his time there are much more important things for him to be saying with the face time he has.
