I see Paul, Palin, and Huckabee hitting these numbers, but Romney falling short.

To answer your question, success is winning the straw poll. Anything less will be trumpeted as a failure for Ron Paul and proof that CPAC was a fluke.

A second place finish would be OK as well. Both Huckabee and Palin are making a big push at this event.

I took the average of the new national poll and the CPAC results.

If Ron Paul gets a warm reception at the event then I will be very pleased. Anything more that will be pure gravy. Of course I would like to see him win the poll. Open minds to his message will result in a real love fest. How can any sane person not love the man and his message (rhetorical)? It bodes well for the now and the future.

Now that Obamacare has passed, I think Ron Paul could bring down the house at the SRLC with a speech promoting nullification at the state level and non-cooperation at the individual level.
