Giuliani wants to issue a big tax cut...and he's got a really simple tax form...so I wanted to know why some people here hate him so much that they don't want his big tax cut. Who cares if he has had several wives, doesn't get along with his family, is using 9/11 to his advantage, etc. if he will save you thousands of dollars and a lot of tax stress next April 15?

I really want Ron Paul to win in Florida. However it's frustrating when I turn on CNN, see that Dr. Paul is losing by a large percentage in a primary or caucus in another state or in a Florida poll so I must hope that some other candidate beats McCain and his 100 year Iraq war. And unfortunately there is no other big tax cutter besides Giuliani with a chance to win Florida according to the latest polls. Hopefully that will change and Ron Paul will move ahead of Giuliani in the polls just before January 29.

His views on national security and foreign policy scare the crap out of me. End of story.

Why so much Guiliani loving today? TRYING TO CONVERT US TO THE DARKSIDE?!?!

I WILL RESIST! BUT IT TASTES SO GOOD! OMG THE POWER... AHHH!

*Goes watch Ron Paul video*...
feeling better... ok yeah, so basically, he has a dictatoral veiw on national security, and wants to blow the middle east to hell, where I plan on living for awhile. Second, he openly laughs and calls out Ron Paul even though his stance is 100 times more rediclious.

Good enough answer, turn coat? :o

Rudy is a criminal with no integrity. He also wants to wage constant war and does not care that we are $9 trillion in debt.

Giuliani is a big spender. He doesn't understand why deficit financing causes economic problems, and his tax plan is likely to coincide with an increase in government spending, not a reduction. I also really, really hate his personality.

Giuliani is an arrogant, egotistical thug who doesn't like women, children, and small, furry animals.

the ghoul is a typical hot air politician I want someone who consistently stands for their ideals

He put more cops on the street when he was New York city mayor...cut the crime rate in New York in half...more cops of the street makes more sense for national security than more troops six thousand miles away in Iraq.

And why do you want to pay more taxes just because he has a foreign policy that scares you?

Guiliani is a RINO, republican in name only.

And I am sick of his 9/11 emotive speeches.

The guy is a plain fruitfly, loves the war, would bomb Iran in his first day in office if Bush doesn't beet him to it, and we all know the rest from his debates! I would vote for Mitt before i would even consider the Ghoul. Better to have a flipfloper then a determined war monger that he is! Him, McCrack, Huckacrack and LoonyTom can go them selfs to Iran and fight with Ahmadinijad for all i care... Mitt might be smart and flop after he gets in the big house and not go to war"unlikely but at least he flips"

Obviously I want Ron Paul to win in Florida....but I'm rooting for him to come in 2nd place.

Asking me what I have against Giuliani is like me asking you what you have against shoving a grenade up your ass and pulling the pin.

Oh yeah and if the thread starter does not understand why Guiliani is terrible, then I ask if the TS is even a Ron Paul supporter. How could one like Ron Paul and want him to win and still have respect for any other candidate. Ron Paul speaks the truth, which means the rest are LIARS!

I used to live in NY. Rudy rode a crime wave reduction nationwide, and had professional PR firms stating constantly that he was reducing crime. Crime goes down the same percentage nationwide, and he rode that wave. He did put lots of cops on the street though. Lots.

He had them make getting rid of the squeegee guys a priority. Maybe that should be his motto, since after getting pretty much last place in the south, northeast, west, and midwest it can't really be America's candidate, or we are running a national campaign.

New motto suggestion:
"Rudy. Tough on bums."

You act like more cops on the street is ALWAYS a good thing. How about a well-armed populace? New York City couldn't have a well-armed populace because owning an assembled firearm within NYC is illegal without the political connections to get a "license."

Giuliani shirked his "duty" during Vietnam, went on to prosecute draft dodgers for the DOJ in the late 1970's / early 1980's, and ordered his police to arrest and hold overnight anyone caught with a small amount of marijuana (knowing full well that the charge would be reduced from a crime to a violation the next day).

He is one scary guy who neither honors the Constitution nor his marriage vows.

Right, lots of cops to protect those who were being forced to not protect their's. Then they get 911, dial a prayer.

His views on foreign policy are imperialist, to put it mildly. Uberneocon Norman Podhoretz is his chief foreign policy advisor.

On civil liberties, the only one he really supports is abortion. He's on record as saying "freedom is about authority," and that was the mildest thing he said in that speech.

Basically, he's a police stater and warmongering invasionist. Big Brother all the way.

However, to his credit, his tax proposal has a lot of merit. I might get flamed for that, but I think gutting the income tax of all credits and deductions in exchange for lower rates is far preferable to what we have today. Of course, Paul's "replace with it nothing" approach is way better. :)
