Let's try a little experiment here in peer pressure and friendly oneupmanship.

The Rules:

- Make a reply below listing the things you did for Ron Paul in the last week, other than going to meetups* or posting on Ron Paul-related forums.

- No other posts please; don't comment on people's contributions, just list your own.

(*If your meetup did something this week more than getting together and talking, and you helped, by all means tell us about that.)

If this goes well we can make a new thread each week or even each day.

I volunteered to become the lit cooridnator for Seattle/King county meetups.. Now I'm have an ungodly amount of stress... Oh well.... :o

We need Seatlle oriented "Slim Jim" palm cards yesterday.... I found a place in Portland that will do 5000 for $288, but now I need to get proofs of 2 styles before our meetup in Sunday. We have another 5000 of the "Officials" and 500 bumper stickers coming from HQ, but they are up to a 2 week lead time...

Anyone know any Professional looking, ready to print, West Coast oriented material PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!

I also stood on to of an overpass for a while yesterday with a sign. That was much easier. Oh, and I converted another couple people at the local Denny's....

A couple of us from our meetup group did a table at the South Pasadena Farmers Market yesterday.

Left Ron Paul business cards at my doctors office (stealth), the post office, at a couple of ATMs.

Ordered yard signs from a guy on eBay.

Electrostatic - there's a list here on this forum under Take Action I think for the best prices on printing, etc. on the internet. Our materials guy uses taradel.com exclusively for our printing - hands down the cheapest prices anywhere. We're in CA and he gets our printing in a week.

well.... I organized a group of around 20 people to hold up signs for Ron Paul on busy street corners (twice)

I ordered 5,000 slim jims (which I got today, and they are quite overwhelming)

I have talked to and given flyers to aprox 200 people (i work at sonic, and give them to customers)

OH yeah, ive also worked about 12 hours making calls to iowa

Answered six telemarker calls and sold THEM on RP :D

Talked to neighbors on either side of me about RP.

Told my sister RP wanted to legalize pot (done deal :D ) and made her promise to register Repub for the primary. I wish they were all so easy ;)

Ordered 100 names for mailings for the Mail Iowa program.

Working on ex-in-laws (Dems)

Over the weekend I went with our area meetups to the FW gun show where we carried signs, handed out slim jims, and talked to people.

During the week I worked to secure a location for the upcoming rally/fundraiser at the TX straw poll, set up the initial basic site for Ron Paul San Antonio, started up the FW meetup and planned the first meeting, called around the local GOP structure to find sympathetic parties, arranged to get people from our meetups at the Liberty 21 conference the end of this week, and generally tried to get the DFW groups better organized to get things done.

Yesterday and today I stood on a busy street corner by myself for a total of about 6 hours with my "Ron Paul 2008" sign and shirt. I got a really good response from a lot of people. Some people are clueless though. How bout you other guys out there on the streets?

I also printed off over 1,000 ron paul issues flyers.

This week, not much because I've been working all week and now I have the flu:mad: so Ive been in bed trolling the forums with my laptop all day. For the last month and 1/2 I go out on the weekends and go door to door with the tri fold flyers, giving out 50 -100 on a weekend. I dont think I'll be up to it this weekend though.

Published the preliminary site at http://www.ronpaul.name (under serious construction)

Started two new meetup groups in WV and scheduled the first meetup

Made the lessons in two college classes I teach revolve around the concept of "Bureaucracy", then made sure to drop Ron Paul's name a couple of times, with illustrating points about the IRS, etc. ;)

And some other stuff I forget...

I handed out flyers at a local Gun Show.

I posted flyers on the bulliten boards at 2 local grocery stores.

Just about an hour ago, in a Barnes & Noble parking lot, I was sharing my disdain for all this Harry Potter madness with another patron and gave her a flyer, telling her about Ron Paul.

also sold my brother & sister on Ron Paul.. the parents are next..

WOW! Way to go!

1. I placed 100 Ron Paul issue fliers on cars at parking lots near Walmart and Giant.

2. Talked to a dozen people about Ron Paul, many of them at the parking lots in question.

3. Recruited a parent of one of my guitar students who will also pass out fliers at the local flea market, which I and my fellow Quakertown Meet-up co-founder plan to do as well.

4. I got several requests from people I know for Ron Paul t-shirts and pins.

5. I arranged a dinner with the family of one of my co-workers at one of the stores, I may be able to win over his entire family.

6. I'm continuing to build the Quakertown Meet-up, which already has grown to 12 members.

7. I donated $100 to Ron Paul's campaign, I've given $700 so far including that.

i'll have worked over 40 hours directly for Paul and will have given the max by the end of Sept.

Handed out trifolds and slimjims along with the info on Q2 military donations.

Much better response than usual this week, only 1 person who wouldn't look at the flyers because Ron Paul is a republican, a younger person (probably early twenties) his only response was "I don't care who he is if he's a republican, I'm voting for Hillary!". But overall much more positive response than usual, especially favorable response to Q2 Military donations, so a pretty good week :)

I went to 5 porn sites so far and got banned by one so far.. :D :D Who the hell or what is darwin? Unless someone hacked my letter.. Banned from a porn site. Now that is funny as hell..

I had one person who was coming to their car and I offered a flier, she asked "Is it political?", to which I replied "Yes", which was followed by a "No, I hate politicians". Now I obviously sympathized with her view, but she could have at least heard me out, oh well.

In regards to your particular case, the younger they are, the more passionate they tend to be once their mind is made up. Older supporters of democrats are a bit more cynical, thus they will at least hear you out before getting all negative, and in some cases might be won over with the right approach.
