A few thoughts......
A few thousand people showed up tonight to hear Ted Cruz speak. Everyone in the crowd that I talked to was extremely nice and many of them either supported Rand Paul as their first or second choice.
I saw the evil Dana Bash. I felt like going up to her and reminder her of the hatchet job she did to Ron in 2012 but then figured why give that talentless hack any attention?
Now my thoughts on Cruz and his speech.....
I've always remained neutral on Cruz. I think using his wife as an example of being establishment is weak.
Ted is a great speaker! But man that crowd didn't even come close to the enthusiasm that Ron's did.
Ted is great at giving the audience what they want to hear. He knew he was in Kansas so tonight he kissed Israels ass and talked about beefing up the military. Both of those got the loudest applause. He never gave too many specifics just red meat lines. That was the biggest difference I noticed between him and Ron. Where as Ron would ramble about a subject for a good 5 minutes with the occasional red meat line thrown in.
As I got to my car and started to leave I teared up a little. Where did our liberty movement go? How did a good % go to Cruz? This man doesn't represent what I spent many cold snowy days walking door to door talking to folks for. I couldn't help but feel like i'm back to 2004 where my interest in politics started and a man named Ron Paul was nowhere insight.
