I will say this for Thompson: In the Fox debate without RP, Thompson actually dared to talk about reforming Social Security, and he actually mentioned reversing the huge mistake made decades ago that indexed the PRE-retirement "implicit rate of return" to wages rather than inflation (making SS unsustainable).
Not only was it an RP-like detail that cut to the heart of the entitlement problem, but the Fox moderator obviously had no idea what Thompson was talking about no matter how many times Thompson tried to re-explain it.

Closest to Paul, we need to get the word out to Thompson supporters
Though Fred was pro-Iraq war, he was more tempered aobut it, and his overall platform and demeanor was less neo-con than the others. The four now left are all centrist, big government candidates. Paul, and the grass roots, should now emphasize as much as possible that he is the only candidate left standing for REAL limited government, spending, and taxes with a record to prove it. He is also the most consistent player left on immigration, another big issue. He is obviously the only anti-war candidate, but that has only won a smaller percentage of voters over. Apparently people/republicans are more and more cencerned over the economy and immigration though, and Ron is trong on both.
I wish there was a way to get the contact info for Fred's supporters...
