Washington Examiner claims Cruz rollout better than Pauls

Do we know for sure if store purchases are showing up on the ticker? I know they did when I bought stuff from the Ron Paul 2012 campaign because my name would show up on the ticker. But it hasn't whenever I've bought stuff from Rand Paul.

I didn't see my name on the ticker for store purchases, but I did with a normal donation. It's always possible to miss it though.

Ed Rollins has generally supported losers when it comes to Republican politicians, and this is not the first time that he has been completely wrong in his assessment of things. Fox News tends to use him a fair bit because he tells them what they want to hear, and just as with the cases of McCain and Romney, what they wanted to hear did not square with reality.

I have ordered twice from the store and haven't seen my name and have donated twice and have seen my name both times. So it's possible I have missed it both times but I don't believe the store purchases are showing up, the names anyway. I guess the money could still be showing on the ticker though.

Cruz did more than twice as much google traffic as Rand on his announcement day if you look at google trends and it would appear he is crushing us in fundraising if the reports can be believed. Maybe that's a product of the electorate more than the rollout, but I think Rollins has a point regardless of how much I disliked him.
I am geek too. I was also watching google trends too (and some other metrics) and you are reading it somewhat wrong. Data is presented in a graph on a monthly basis.
100=maximum
0=minimum
That being said graph will not always work correctly (will display different results if you set different time spans). This is especially true if you are looking at data that are less than month old. If you set option "View change over time" you will see that data is not entered. On date 7-8 April maps shows no change for Rand.From my experience longer time period graphs are more reliable for some reaon.

If you look at it at maximum time span setting you get:

In March when Cruz announced there was 85 Cruz: 12 Rand
In April when Rand announced (partial data) it is: 33 Cruz: 100 Rand

Wait a month and I believe that results will be much more accurate. Am I missing something?

I saw Ted Cruz's announcement speech and then not a word after that. How is that better than Rand? Rand has been in the news everyday since his announcement speech.

Yeah I've noticed that the graphs can change based on time period selected, but I'm just looking at the interest over time graph.

The bar graph on the left shows average relative searches over that time period. The higher one has had more traffic always by definition and it's cruz.

I know you've seen him...

Probably got miffed cause Rand didn't hire him. Just a dog looking for his next bone.

I was astonished at how Rollins bashed Michele Bachmann publicly after he left her campaign. Seemed terribly immature and unprofessional.
