Voter registration question

Going through the Maine GOP info on the caucus ( http://mysite.verizon.net/vze2pj4f/MRP Training/Part 1/Caucus Introduction Part 1.htm ), they mentioned that for first time registrations, the registrar (or a deputy) will be present at the caucus 30 minutes before the scheduled time to accept registrations and enrollments.

Does this mean that people who have been independent can register as republican without having to do so 15 days before the caucus?

After seeing the games being played down in Louisiana, I would suggest registering as Republicans and doing it today if you haven't already.

Don't give them the slightest excuse to discard your vote!

I asked Ken Lindell last week about this for confirmation, and YES, if you are an "unenrolled voter" (aka independant or unregistered) you can register republican the day of the caucus, and vote.

As somebody mentioned above the answer is yes IF as long as you were not registered as an Independent GREEN! If you were registered as a Green then you are out of luck.
