Ron Paul supporters please hear me out on this. Ron Paul and Ron Paul supporters (also Liberty minded people) have worked hard this election cycle. We fought the media, statue Quo, and different people through out the country. We worked to hard to let the Republicans and Mitt Romney campaign take it all away from us.

So here is what I think we should all do to show how angry we are towards the Republican party and Romney. We should all rally together and vote Gary Johnson. That way we can boost him up on the polls. See a Libertarian party has not gotten more then 1% of the vote in any election. Even when Ron Paul ran in 1988. So if we can get them anywhere from 5-10% voting that would show how angry we are with the two party system and especially Republican party! Since all the polls show only a 1-7% difference in every state are vote to Gary Johnson this election cycle could be big. Also since Gary Johnson has no chance to win why not use your vote as a protest vote to show how angry we are. Also to show that Ron Paul supporters are a tight niche group of people of that will not compromise are values to support a candidate in the same party.

Thanks, but no thanks and don't tell me what to do. No one but Ron Paul and I will be writing him in.

I'll be voting for gary. I fail to see the point of waiting in line on election day to write i ron's name especially when it won't even be counted and ron is not running a write in campaign.

why not just write in your own name? You've got just as much chance of winning and I'm sure you agree with your stance on issues even more than rons.

I am not going to write in my name simply because I don't want to. And you are wrong about me having as much of a chance winning as Dr. Paul because many people will be writing him in. Not saying that he would win, but those who write him in will at least have a clear conscience. Besides, if I was ever elected to anything, the first thing I would do is resign. :D

To each their own and I wish Gary Johnson the best of luck even though I will not be voting for him.

lmao...so true.

All these people writing in Ron Pauls name are doing is splitting the vote and taking much needed percentage points away from the Libertarian Party - points that may be needed to cross the threshold that makes the other two parties stand up and take notice when deciding future policy platforms. Ron would want us to do the right thing - and Johnson is the best candidate left on the ballot paper. If we gave him 1/4 the support in the last 3 months that we gave Ron over the last 6 or so years, then we'd be making some real progress....

Gary will be on all 50 ballots - the election is still ours to lose.

I understand you and a lot of people will be doing this, but that is what the GOP want us to do. They want you to in their eyes throw your vote away. They are how ever more scared that you might vote for someone who could take a few votes away from them. That would be voting Gary Johnson. That is why in some state the Republican Party is trying to get ride of them on the ballot.

See you do not even have to like the guy. All you have to do is just show a bigger message that your not going to let them push us around anymore. We will find ways to screw them over!!

I'm not sure the GOP cares if you vote for gary johnson or write in ron. Either way it's a vote they don't get and realilistically they aren't worried about gary beating them so much as gary stealing possible votes from romney. But from my perspective, if an lp candidate could even get 5 to 7 percent of the vote I think it would be a pretty fun thing to be a part of. At least his votes will be counted, you can't give a finger to the GOP if no one sees the finger.

dbill27 they do care a lot. If they are going out of their way to get him off the ballot in some states. Well then they must care enough to do something to keep him from getting votes.

You missed my point. If your only 2 options as voter is to write in ron paul or vote gary then they don't give a shit because either way you aren't considering romney. They're only worried about taking gary of ballots for those who would otherwise consider voting romney. They don't want gary off ballots because they think he's going to win the presidency.

While I completely agree that GJ should be left on all ballots for those that WANT to vote for him.. I am not one of those that WANTS to. I do however, love the *get your hands off my Johnson* ad
I'm still bringing a sharpie to the Voting booth

The whole point is to vote to show the Republicans a thing or two. Tell them we will not take it any more. See we all know Gary Johnson has no shot in hell to win and a lot of us including my self do not like everything Gary Johnson's platform is. Still I think it would make more sense to get one person that the Republicans are fighting with to get off the ballot then writing in Ron Paul.

I don't want to agree with you, really, I don't. Each of us here at RPF have the right, the privilidge, and obligation to vote our individual consciences. Your argument is sound, your logic makes sense, and it's with a heavy heart that I post in agreement with you.

If Ron Paul were to somehow find a way onto the ballot, he'd have my vote. Such a pity to see how things have panned out...and to those intending to write in RP, I'm sure that by now you recognize that your vote will not be counted - at all. In order for us to retain our voice, it's support Gary Johnson or skip that part of the ballot.
