He announced his 2024 bid after making sure his Wikipedia page was edited.

May 03, 2023

Vivek Ramaswamy, an entrepreneur vying to be the Republican candidate for president in 2024, allegedly paid to change the Wikipedia page about him, according to a disclosure made on the community encyclopedia. The changes include scrubbing the fact that Ramaswamy received the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans in 2011 and Ramaswamy’s role in the Ohio Covid-19 Response Team.

The changes to the Wikipedia page, first reported by Mediaite, were made by a user named Jhofferman, who provided the disclosure on Wikipedia.

“Jhofferman, in accordance with the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use, discloses that they have been paid by Vivek Ramaswamy for their contributions to Wikipedia,” the user explains.

The New Republic? Wasn’t it The Jacobin recently too? Another Marxist source?

Ramaswamy’s Wikipedia page includes the warning, “this article has multiple issues,” with a note that it “contains paid contributions” and “may require cleanup to comply with Wikipedia’s content policies, particularly neutral point of view.”

All of those are basically referencing the same Mediaite article (actually the American thinker one doesn't). So really, he just needs to pick one.

It doesn't really matter though. Ramaswamy isn't going to win. He'll be one to keep an eye on in the future, for better or worse.

It's always interesting to see where the hit pieces are coming from. And as pointed out below, they refer back to left leaning sources. Red State itself is a teocon/neocon source.

And no worries, Swordsmyth is on the case from the Trump camp, and already posted the hit piece from American Thinker.

Yep. And the American Thinker article has some interesting comments, mostly focusing on the author and not the content:

Vivek certainly has some interesting enemies...

Are you going to VOTE for him? I could be wrong, but from what I've seen, I think you might be his biggest fan :fist:

Anyway, I'm still curious... CDR Charles F. Kerchner, Jr. (Ret) reached out to Swamy many times via confirmed contact methods to clear up the NBC issue, but Swamy still has not responded. One would think for the highest office in the land, one would be honest and forthcoming.

Also, based on documented information about his incredible exponential wealth increase around the time of Covid, and the fact that he oversaw 5 FDA approvals during Trump's tenure, Swamy quoted “Berkshire Hathaway of drug development”. Operation Warp Speed 2.0?

And other things, such as Military and Drone Attacks on Mexico, etc., which you can see in his On the Record.

I try not to attack sources too much because I consider it a leftist tactic (let's be honest, anyone who is really devoted to their beliefs would not be swayed by sources one way or another). But when they all trace back to the same source as the basis for their article, meh.

Is Mediaite really that popular/influential? MSM homepage (which I really need to change some day) links to their articles quite often and it's all leftist pro-ukraine, pro-vaccine garbage. I think most of the commenters there are bots.

And what is the actual relevance of this? OMG, Ramaswamy paid someone! Unspeakable for a campaign to pay people.

It's all out in the open and above board. It's not illegal. If someone wanted a change to Wikipedia, how would one do it other than hire someone? Submit a request to Wikipedia? And the entire point is moot, as the Soros information is on his Wikipedia page, and there is no "warning" on the page.

...

Well, we know that you are his biggest detractor.

He has a prominent presence on Twitter, which is where I see his quotes. When I see a candidate say something interesting or in line with Ron Paul's philosophy, I may post it. Will I vote for him in the primary? I haven't decided.
