(Video) Sen. Tom Davis talks to Reuters reporter about RP's foreign policy

Possible VP? Very intelligent answers from Davis. Ron should pimp his endorsement in the debate tomorrow night since the press for the most part aren't saying a thing about it.

I honestly don't understand how people DON'T "get it". It's not exactly brain surgery.

He summed it up about how people are used to the same old broken policy for so long, so when change comes along, they throw stones at it. That's all it is. People just have the hardest time accepting change. Whether you're religious or not, Christ is the perfect example of that. Got stones thrown at em, both figuratively and literally for trying to preach a message of change, no different than Ron is doing and so many before him.

but but but...whada bout if a terrist launches a missile from easter island...and we don't have any boots on the ground and and..i might get my haid cut off too..!!

troops that can be deployed anywhere in the world within 13 hours.
submarines with enough weaponry to destroy the world a couple of times and strike anywhere within hours.
most advance aircraft carriers at our disposal.
a network of anti-missile and anti-ballistic batteries.

... no country will f**king attack us. our enemies will have to deal with our awesome military and deal with millions of americans with firearms.

i think Ron Paul should explain how he will bolster our defense.. like building more submarines, building more carriers, advancing anti-ballistic missile capabilities, improving early warning systems, re-opening bases in USA, opening new bases in USA, sending more intelligence satellites into space, and other military capabilities.

i believe Ron did mention something about submarines before, how it is a great alternative to having an actual base. submarines maintain a presence in a region and can be moved anywhere.

people like to feel assure that they are safe from the boogiemen and from the chinese.

I would love to see this guy replace Demint (since he's leaving) or even better Graham.

"Our troops can get anywhere in the world in 13 hours."

Good point. I've thought about this myself and I came to the conclusion that the people who think we need bases in every possible corner of the earth just don't have a lot of faith in our military's capabilities.

So who is really pro-military, and who really doubts them?

You hit the nail right on the head. I love Paul's fiscal policy but his foreign policy is just too naive when it comes to ignoring real threats like the ones you mentioned (It would take a library of books to list the many more that come to mind).

Didn't Ron Paul say the other day that JK deserves to lose his hand? I can't vote for a guy who doesn't care if JK's hand gets wiped off the face of the map.

Oh my gosh!
I just thought of the most awesome defense strategy! Should we cut off the Muslim's hands first?
