[VIDEO] ~ "Sarah Palin Says Only Americans Worthy of Rights?"

Her position here is nearly identical to Rand Paul's. Perhaps that's one of the reasons she endorsed him.

Hannity parrots this same line of tricksy logic. Here is the approximation of the argument I heard him give to a caller:

caller: Why do insist that people we hold in detention should not be given a regular trial?

Hannity: Because they are terrorists and they do not deserve rights!

caller: Well that goes against The Constitution because the 5th amendment states that "no person shall be denied..."

Hannity (interrupts): Whoa Whoa Whoa, I know where your taking this liberal argument, so since you know so much about the Constitution, how does it start?

caller: It says "We the people..."

Hannity (interrupts): There's your answer.

caller: huh?

Hannity: It says "we the people", what people you ask? The AMERICAN PEOPLE! IT'S ONLY FOR AMERICANS NOW GET OFF THE PHONE YOU BIG LIBERAL!

*Click*

Hannity: Let me tell you about lifelock...by the way I'm a big fat stupid douche milkshake.

Me: WTF????

I don't think Sarah even comprehends most of what she says...it's like she is being told "OK, deliver this line and then give the audience a stern look." etc. She clearly has no clue what the words she says mean.

God bless America and no one else. However, I have no idea why the commenter in the OP is trying to use the Constitution (instead of just falling back on a natural rights argument) as an argument that the "intent" demands all people have rights.
