[Video] Rand Paul on The O'Reilly Factor w/ Chris Wallace 8/7/15

Wow, thanks for posting those videos. Rand was great and Wallace respectful. Maybe they decided to make it up to Rand for not giving him equal time. Go Rand!

I think now that the news shows after the debates are more important than the debates themselves, in quantity and kind. Use whatever time you have in the debate to create a buzz, and then go all over the news shows talking about that buzz.

Right. And Youtube, Facebook, Twitter etc.

Use the debate to get people to notice you and then they will listen to you later when you have more time to expand on your ideas. And just don't blow it and have an "oops" performance.

best I have seen Rand in a while. I was beginning to think he was finished, but not after this week.

A+ interview. Gracious, affable and confident. This is the Rand that can win.

Temperamentally, the way he presented himself in this interview (and most others) is night and day from how he came off in debate. His hair also looked 100x better than it did last night (though that could simply be a result of the lower camera angle used in the Orielly interview).

My my hunch is that the persona/style that Rand presented at last night's debate was a calculated decision, designed to key up all the Ron Paul diehards who've been having/voicing doubts about Rand. Hopefully it worked, because Rand definitely needs to bring his more stately "interview" persona to the next debates if he wants to win over more low-info voters.

100% disagree.

What has Rand said? He's a "different kind of republican" and one who will "stand up to big government" and "not back down".

In doing what he did with Christie, he did ALLLLL of that.

He took the stance that Christie was big government and that he was going to stand up to him and not back down.

Walking the talk. Voters will appreciate it and if you sink back down to Marco Rubio's level you will become forgettable.

So, I heard Huckabee mention today that pre-debate, Rand was sick as a dog and wasn't sure if he was going to be able to make it. I'm not sure if this is true, but it may explain what I thought to be a little bit of a strange demeanor. Not like in this interview.

If this is true Rand did a fantastic job given the circumstances.

What show did Huckabee say this on? Is there a video?

What interests me a little bit is why Huckabee "ran into Rand Paul yesterday in South Carolina"? You generally don't just "run into" other candidates -- why did they meet?

I saw a picture of them at the same event. Believe it or not, candidates cross paths all the time on the trail. Especially in the early states.

ETA: Here you go, from Tom Davis' page. They were both at a studio at USC-Upstate to conduct their interviews with Chris Wallace on the O'Reilly Factor.

Seriously, some of you guys see a conspiracy in EVERYTHING.

Makes sense. Probably just me wishful thinking, cause I happen to think Huckabee would be a valuable ally
