Watching these interviews makes me cringe because I didn't know the differences that he points out until the last few years. I'm sure there are still a lot of basic things I don't know. I was a good student. I went to a good school. I was even interested in government and politics at the time. It makes me sad that someone like me misunderstood so much. I'm grateful for people like Adam who clarify these things and I hope more people like him show patience and restraint to others like me.

A lot of people (Including Peter Schiff) find it hard (including myself) to not interrupt and jump all over whoever they're debating with. I tend to pay more attention to Adam so I can mimic him. I can tell by his body language that hes constantly having to hold himself back while others speak lol. I would have gone further and explained to her what a Democracy is by using the 2 wolves and 1 sheep analogy. I dont think she knows what it is. Notice that the second lady backed out during the debate

I doubt if you misunderstood rather than were not taught at all. In Public schools they do not give good a education about government history, or economics in any meaningful detail.


As for the title:
I am not a Marine, but he served there so he has direct experience with what was going on in Iraq. It is probably frustrating to him to see people like the woman want people like him to risk their life for nation building especially when the woman thinks her answer is the correct one.

that's an argument that people also use in SUPPORT of the Iraq war. Suggesting that American soldiers understand the situation and culture of the foreign nations they are deployed to and so...how can we ignorant civilians know what's happening on the ground. I'll have you know that that's hardly the case, that most people who had boots on the ground really understand the culture. People like Adam are a rare bird in the military. And I say that cause I'm I've been in the Army National guard for a long time and witness all the so called "expertise".
Be careful giving service members so much credibility. We've been in places like Okinawa for half a century and still don't get how they think.
