The measure is meant to end food shortages

He asserted that the plan will keep people from buying too much of any single item. The president did not say when the measure would go into effect, the Associated Press reports.

Anything to keep from trying the free market!

Russia will be looking to China,, Brazil, Argentina, and other South American countries for its imports. Those nations already have a significant non- gmo market, and in China’s case, gmo bans. This aligns with the international finance clearing model that we'll see from these nations.

Well heck with our obesity problem this might be an easy solution!!!!

Fear not. Any day now there will be a revolution in Venezuela, as the citizenry replaces the current ruler with one who promises to manage socialism better. That's usually how it's done in South/Central America.

Oh my God another country has a draconian invasion of privacy! The US CIA must have done it!

Oh man. What is it about human beings that some things we just refuse to learn? Again and again and again the same damn thing happens and we keep lining up for more. It's like battered wife syndrome. "I love you and I won't hit you again" Then "bam".

I agree although it would help if the US would let these countries legalize drugs. It's almost impossible for capitalism to work when the court system and property rights are corrupted by the underground drug economy.
