A few years back, when the USN was colliding with merchant vessels in the Far East, there was an article that parsed through the investigation and had some bombshell revelations as to just how f'd up the navy is now.
I can't remember all of the details, but the bridge was rife with DEI and incompetent women and POC's put in positions for which they weren't nearly qualified for.
There was also mention about a billion dollar radar system which was turned off because.....reasons.
It is mind boggling how this can happen.
Every third world nation has ships that routinely navigate busy waterways without running into each other.
We really are stupid and reckless.
Like monkeys with machine guns.
