USA Today: Paul's issue with Huckabee's Christmas ad: 'Fascism' will be 'carrying a c

Personally, I think perpetuating this silly Paul versus Huck thing with the MSM is the best chance we have at destroying Hucky and propelling us to the top spot!

It's a pretty good article though, although most of it is finding out whether Lewis said that or not.

While the conversations could be centering around whether sinclair lewis said this or not, I think they'll center around what was said. It's far more interesting to charge against Huckabee.

Actually I've heard the quote before about draped in a flag and carrying a cross so Ron did not just make it up. I cannot say, however, that it was by Sinclair Lewis. Doesn't matter cause it's a true assessment. Look at Bush as a prime example. If anyone is draped in a flag and carrying a cross - it's Bush. At the same time - we have lost civil liberties and our constitution is under attack. I'd say that we are well on the road to fascism by way of one draped in the flag and carrying a cross.

This quote will be nothing but good for the Ron Paul campaign! Paul is finally taking off the gloves and starting to throw some punches! And he started off with a haymaker! Go Ron Paul! Huckabee is a fascist!

It's not a verifiable Sinclair quote, but it is a good one, no matter who said it.

Yes, this is the kind of thing that will get talked about.

Some points to remember:

-It has not been established whether Paul actually has seen the Huckabee TV Ad, so Ron Paul's comment was more likely geared toward the flag-waving bible thumping tactics of opponents like Huckabee...

-Ron Paul qualifies his statement (doesn't back track, back tracking is something you do later not while you make a statement lol)

-Religion has been used already by the Bush Campaign and often subtly/or not so subtly tied by into the "Crusade" our nation is conducting in the Middle East and support for Israel.

And, lastly, I would bet good money that someone who had a hand in the making of that Huckabee Video knew how the background object would appear and intentionally decided to go with it.

Huck is a dumb ass. I agree with Lew Rockwell about him as well as thinking that he is just appealing to people but doesn't talk about any of the issues cause he knows he will lose if he does. haha.. what a joke.

Every piece I find says "attributed", but I think it doesn't matter. It is the message not the messenger, after all, right?

I am a Christian dedicated to serving my Lord and Savior Jesus, AND I AGREE WITH RON PAUL on this one.

I go to a large evangelical church, and I see how the government and the political powers have convinced Christians to support various issues that are contrary to what our Founding Fathers believed. Examples: Federal Marriage Amendment support, War on Terror support, etc.

It's an absolute shame that candidates intentionally choose to disgrace my God by using Him as a pawn in their ever-growing quest to usurp power from ALL Americans.

Our nation has a long Christian past and heritage, and using Christianity as a peruasive tool to lead people astray is effective, yet reprehensible.

Just as I am, Ron Paul is a Christian, and he believes exactly what he said to Steve Doucey on FauxNews. It takes a strong believer with a true conscience to see the system and candidates for what they are and point it out on national TV.

God Bless Ron Paul!

Huckabee's ilk did a good job. His ad is being shown for free over and over again. I don't think much will come of Pauls comment. I haven't seen a single blurb regarding it on MSNBC.
