MINSK, 18 March (BelTA) – Belarus and the United States of America signed an intergovernmental agreement to improve international tax compliance and to implement the U.S. Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
The signing ceremony took place at the Belarusian Foreign Ministry on 18 March. On behalf of the Belarus Government the agreement was signed by Minister of Taxes and Duties Sergei Nalivaiko. On behalf of the Government of the United States of America the document was signed by Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of the United States of America to Belarus Scott Rauland.
