US jets attack Syrian Army as ISIS captures strategic mountain in Deir Ezzor

Bad News

Washington:

  1. cancelled the UN Security Council meeting regarding the cease-fire deal because Washington refuses to share the cease-fire deal with the UN Security council
  2. refuses to publish the details of the agreement with Russia about the ceasefire in Syria
  3. has done nothing over the last days to separate, as promised, the "moderate rebels" it supports in Syria from al-Qaeda
  4. today bombed a Syrian army position in support of an ISIS attack in Deir Ezzor:
    • "Today at 17:00-17:50 Moscow time, international anti-Daesh coalition (two F-16 and two A-10 jets) carried out four strikes on Syrian government forces' units encircled by Daesh near Deir ez-Zor airport. The coalition's aircraft entered Syrian airspace from the side of the Iraqi border," … As a result of the attack, 62 Syrian soldiers were killed and some 100 others were injured … Daesh terrorists launched an offensive soon after the US-led coalition aircraft attacked the Syrian government forces. The U.S. planes came from Erbil in Iraq. The U.S. air attack on Deir Ezzor was certainly not a mistake but well planned. The Syrian troops were holding positions on Jabal Tharda, a mountain that overlooks Deir Ezzor's airport. The mountain is now fully under Islamic State control. With this IS has fire control over the airport and the Deir Ezzor garrison as well as more than 150,000 …
  5. simultaneously with the Washington attack the Israeli air force attacked Syrian positions in the Golan height after al-Qaeda lobbed a mortar towards Israeli forces ... This has become the official pretext of Israeli support for al-Qaeda in the area with Israel claiming that the Syrian army is responsible for any and all attacks no matter who initiates them.
  6. also earlier today artillery fire from Turkey hit Syrian army positions in Latakia.

Washington's Centcom has issued a statement admitting the killing of over 60 Syrian troops and claiming it was an oopsie.

A very "questionable" error. The coordination of the attacks along with the ISIS offensive (not to mention the Israeli bombing of Golan Heights and Turkish artillery) is highly suspect. At best it is gross negligence and incompetence in a coordinated fashion.
Washington failed to announce or obtain consent for its bombing plans as agreed.
Also as pointed out, if Washington is claiming they erred by using the wrong coordinates, then it’s a direct consequence of refusing to coordinate with Russia in its bombing actions.
Russia has called for an immediate UN Security Council meeting.

Didn't see this thread, this shoud have gone here:

[h=1]US-led airstrike "unintentionally" hit Syrian forces instead of ISIS, 62 Syrian troops killed[/h]

For how many more years neocons and their puppets supported freedom spreading/bloodbath in Syria will go on?
Will many US jobs really be lost as CNN's Wolf Blitzers implied if US stopped supporting violent Jihadi groups and dictators in mideast?

In related questions, did Nobel peace prize play any role in worldwide wars/civil wars instigation by neocons funded current leader or it was mostly for entertainment value?

US Strikes on Syrian Troops: Report Data Contradicts 'Mistake' Claims

Evidence from the Report suggests US strike on Syrian forces was intentional.
http://ronpaulinstitute.org/archive...roops-report-data-contradicts-mistake-claims/

The summary report on an investigation into US and allied air strikes on Syrian government troops has revealed irregularities in decision-making consistent with a deliberate targeting of Syrian forces.

The report, released by US Central Command on 29 November, shows that senior US Air Force officers ...

  • misled the Russians about where the US intended to strike so Russia could not warn that it was targeting Syrian troops
  • ignored information and intelligence analysis warning that the positions to be struck were Syrian government rather than Islamic State
  • shifted abruptly from a deliberate targeting process to an immediate strike in violation of normal Air Force procedures ...

The investigation report summary reveals that the CAOC sent misleading information to the Russians before the strike about the location of the targets. … Brig. Gen. Richard Coe ... acknowledged that the misleading information had prevented the Russians from intervening to stop the strike. “Had we told them accurately, they would have warned us,” …

Harrigan and his staff were ignoring basic facts about the positions of the Syrian army and IS in the area that was well known to US intelligence. ...

The report faults those who made the decisions on the targeting of the strike for failing to follow normal Air Force procedures. Originally, the CAOC had initiated a process called “Deliberate Targeting”, which is used for fixed targets and requires extensive and time-consuming work to ensure the accuracy of the intelligence on the targets, according to the report. But that had been changed abruptly to “Dynamic Targeting”, which involves “fleeting targets” … The authors of the report found that change to be improper, given that the sites being targeted were clearly identified as defensive positions and could not justify such a switch to a hastily prepared strike. But again, it offers no explanation as to why.
