United States' rating still AAA and stable: Moody's

The market reaction or lack thereof to Moody's reaffirmation of faith in the US will be telling tomorrow. I sense a ho-hum response, but who really knows... The mere fact that Moody felt the need to reassert their faith in the ability of the US to repay its debt might upset the markets more than silence. ;)

USA will never loose AAA. The rating agencies are anglosaxon, so they will never take away the AAA rating from the USA.

The UK is Anglo. They are where the word comes from. Anglo Saxon were the Germanic people living in the south of England (Anglo for England and Saxon for the Saxony part of Germany or Niedersachsen) so if the US does not get downgraded (and they could) for being Anglo Saxon then the UK should not be downgraded either.

The UK should have lost its AAA rating long ago. The only reason they have no lost it its because they control the agency ratings.

Hyperinflating does not in fact count as a default. The only countries that are at risk of losing AAA are the ones issuing debt in foreign currencies.

THANKFULLY, tomorrow is a holiday, so the DOW won't be open. Will have to wait until Tuesday.
