The International Labour Organisation has overwhelmingly backed a new convention to protect domestic workers as governments try to establish a universal standard to protect as many as 100 million people worldwide.

Member countries of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) on Thursday voted overwhelmingly in favour of a landmark treaty to protect the rights of domestic workers worldwide. Advocates of the new convention say a universal standard is needed to address the situation of workers that have long remained among the most exploited and abused.

Get US out! of the United Nations!

Support H.R. 1146, The American Sovereignty Restoration Act. This proposal terminates the United States' participation in the United Nations.

The United States is currently engaged in another unconstitutional and undeclared war in the Middle East. President Barack Obama explicitly cited a United Nations resolution as his source of authority to wage war in Libya. This acquiescence to the United Nations is and has been for many decades the excuse the U.S. government uses when it wishes to involve itself in regime changes or changes in the form of government in many countries around the world.

H.R. 1146 would terminate all U.S. participation in the UN, repeal the UN Headquarters Agreement (which would leave the UN no offices along the East River in New York), stop all appropriations of U.S. taxpayer dollars for the organization, and most importantly, end the United States’ participation in any agreements or conventions with any UN organ, body, or agency or commission. H.R. 1146 is the best vehicle to Get US out! of the United Nations.

Didn't a bill to this effect get several co sponsors in recent years? I don't see any cosponsors on this bill. :(

Once again, the incrementalism (that some people dismiss as even being real) is being clearly displayed.

I am already subject to ILO rules, through the IMO, and have to comply with myriad shipboard rules and regulations that never once saw the light of day in any debate with my "representatives".

That's how the incrementalism works, it's done in small steps, to a small voiceless subset of society that nobody gives a shit about and knows nothing of.

Enjoy running a business and having to comply and report back to the UN about your work environment, wages and conditions.

Rest assured the SWAT team that raids you for violations will be all American though.

Just another day, just another liberty lost, just another violation of the sovereign citizen, that nobody gives two fucks about.
