Lew, I just now watched the actual YouTube clip of what Trump said. He says nice things about Ron, essentially. Not as nice as it should have been, but it is clear he meant well and likes Ron

Almost like he did with Cruz, Trump was on FNC just a few minutes ago defending Rand about the under card debate. Something to the effect about treating a US Senator like that who was the front runner last year.

I have a better idea with the debates. You have 13 candidates? Simple!

Have 3 debates during 1 day: a Breakfast Debate, a Lunchtime Debate and a Dinner Debate. Candidates would be selected at random to participate in any of the 3 debates. Divide the candidates into different pools. P, ool A, pool B and pool C. There would be 1 candidate that would be put in a pool D. Next, using a random lottery, you could have somebody like Trump debate Pataki or Gilmore versus Cruz. 3 debates in 1 day.

At the end of each debate, 2 candidates would make it to a grand debate. 1 candidate would be chosen by the voters online and 1 by the media. There could be a chance where a candidate wins 1st place from the voters and the media. If that's the case, allow the candidates that finish 2nd in either the voter's poll or the media poll to qualify for the grand debate. So, the grand debate could have between 6 to 9 candidates easily. Equal access for any candidate to debate any candidate. No polling needed!
